015 Steal You Away

"I'm so nervous." Wren mumbled as she walked besides Ki down the hallway leading to the event.

Ki shook her head, "Don't be. You know a shit ton of people that will be in there. If anyone should be nervous, it should be me."

"Yeah, but you make friends quickly." Wren smiled.

"Says the girl who just became friends with some of the most popular gamers on twitch." Ki smirked.

"You can thank Luke and being doxed for that." Wren murmured.

Ki rolled her eyes. "Or maybe it's just your handsomely good looks and charming personality?"

"Definitely not that." Wren laughed.

"True." Ki smiled. "Definitely not that."

The pair finally entered the dark, open room, eyeing dozens of people all huddled in groups chatting away. Wren's eyes scanned the room in search of familiar faces, but she was out of luck. "Will you stick by my side, tonight."

"Until you find a group, yes. I'm trying to get my mingle on. You might want to stay single." Ki sighed. "But I don't."

"Fair enough." Wren replied, still on the hunt for the sight of her friends faces.

As Wren thought she spotted Sapnap's familiar black Balenciaga hat, she heard her name being called.

"Wren! Tidbit!"

She snapped her head towards the voice, her eyes setting upon the girl she had met at the party in Orlando. "Cara!"

Wren walked over to the girl, who was also standing next to a few other familiar twitch female streamers, as Ki followed suit.

"It's nice to see you again." Puffy smiled at the girl. "How are you holding up?"

Wren smiled, looking around at the other girls faces before setting her sights back on Puffy herself. "I've been alright, how are you?"

"Good, good!" Puffy smiled back, eyes widening. "Oh, I'm sorry! This is Nikki, Sylvee, and Minx."

The squad of girls greeted Wren kindly, as Wren did the same. "Nice to meet you, guys. And this is Ki!"

The girls also greeted Ki, and the squad happily welcomed the two girls as they began to chat and catch up.

"I'm sorry I know this is so random," Wren interrupted. "But, I love your voice, Minx. Are you Irish?"

Minx faked shyness, holding her hand up to her chin, "Keep complimenting me dear and I'll take you to bed, but I am Irish yes. Im sure it's easy to tell by the shit roughness of it."

"I think it's sexy." Wren flirted back, making the girls laugh.

Minx widened her mouth, and smirked. "Alright ladies, we'll be back in a moment."

The girls laughed once more, Wren feeling at peace. She was genuinely surprised by how receptive and kind the streaming community had been towards her, especially considering she was just now becoming a big deal. Everyone she had met was so lovely, and she hoped that it would continue to be that way.

Even though Wren was having a great time chatting with the girl streamers, she couldn't help her wandering eyes as she scanned through the sea of creators. She was eyeing every person in the building, hoping she could spot the god forsaken hat once more.

And eventually she did, and alongside the brunette in the black hat was Punz, leaning against a round table the boys were sat at.

She excused herself from the girls, asking Ki if she'd like to join her to go chat with Punz, but Ki politely declined, opting to stay with the girl gang.
