As you got to the car, the weight of what you just witnessed hit you straight in the stomach. Were Eddie and Max dead? Did Vecna and Kas taking over their bodies destroy their very beings? Would you never see the real Eddie or Max again?
Either way it was a horrifying thought, on one hand you could have to kill them both.. on the other, well.. in any ending they're not really saveable are they?
You give a shake of your head to rid of these intrusive thoughts, right now you could only think positive.. that was the only way to get through this.
"Okay.. does anyone have an idea of what to do?" Robin asks from the backseat, the four of us silent.. processing. "I got nothing," you sigh "Yeah, me either." Steve huffs.. "Dustin?" Robin asks hopeful as he shakes his head too.
"Wait.. it might be crazy.." Steve starts, an idea popping into his head "And it's either going to work or really piss Vecna off, both kinda work in our favour, " you wait for him to continue, seconds feeling like hours.
"I say.. we torch his house. The house that's here, If it's still here." Steve eyes blink rapidly "Well, that would draw him out one way or another," Dustin admits, "That's really the best plan we got?" you look among the group, receiving silence.
"You know I hate to break this to you but our last weapons trip didn't go to plan," Robin reminds the four of you "Hawkins is a ghost town right now, we could ransack peoples houses for guns, knives.." Steve trails off.
"Of course. More felonies." You nod, pinching the bridge of your nose at the absurdity, unsure how you ended up in this situation again, though this time was much worse.
"So we are just going to run right back in, that's it. That's the plan?" Robin asked in disbelief, "Do you got a better one?" Dustin impatiently awaits an answer.
"Okay fine. Back in we go," she huffs as you huff along with her, Robin and Dustin get out from the backseat as Steve stops you, "Are you okay? If you have to sit this one out.." he starts lightly as you laugh in his face "Out of all the ones to sit out, this one isn't it."
The two of you join Dustin and r Robin, bracing yourselves to reenter the now fallen Hawkins.
"I'm gonna regret this," you sigh, walking along side the others back to where you just left "It's not like we can get into the upside down anyways... right?" Steve asks aloud "We could jump into the big sink hole and find out," Dustin retorts sarcastically.
"I think maybe it's time we call Mike," you nod, Vecna wanted eleven and there was no possible way to defeat him... Max.. Eddie or put a stop to this unless you guys had the biggest weapon possible. A super powered human.
"Lucky for us, all phones are free." Robin forces a laugh, her anxiousness taking over and starting to bug out.
The four of you sneak along the town line of Hawkins, a row of houses to hide behind and rifle through.
It was much more eerie inside the houses, seeing lives ones lived left behind with no second thoughts. Moments and memories scattered everywhere.
Some rooms completely turned over from the owners packing and fleeing.
It felt so wrong. Like the families would come back any moment, items left that were being used at the time of evacuation.. waiting for the owner to come back and use them again.
Calendars filled with activities and joy filled occasions. Children's toys sitting all alone, some unlucky pets left behind.
It was almost like being in the upside down, minus the vines and complete weathering to all buildings. Though that would soon be the same fate for this Hawkins too.
