It felt like you were in a complete different side of Hawkins that didn't exist above ground, this was different from the upside down all together.
The sky was much less red but still inevitably cloudy, blue flashes would light up the atmosphere every now and then.
There was, what appeared to be.. an abandoned house, what you could only compare to what looked like an old Victorian carriage home mixed with a small town school church.
It was bizarrely out of place, this area.. wherever it was.. lacked the essentials of the upside down. Like the bats and vines, like the over all dread hanging over you.
The homes in the upside down were in ruins. Memories of what once was and while this didn't look like a cozy home that existed above, it didn't look like death either.
It seemed familiar but like a distant memory, yet you knew you had never seen this house before in your life. So why did it speak to you as if you had?
"Is this the part where you kill me?" You ask as you're set down on your feet, ears feeling full from the unexpected flight.
Kas' wings flutter up and down for a brief moment as he stands with his back to you, you watch as they slowly lower and close.. reminding you of the sound when you crack your knuckles all at once.
"If I wanted to kill you, you'd be dead." He states in fact, motioning a finger over his shoulder for you to follow him.
You look around you, a dense fog covering the area around you. Did anything lie beyond the fog or with in it? You weren't sure and truth be told, you were scared to find out.
You could run but you'd have no idea where you were running to, having no idea how far you are away from the upside down you've come to know so well.
Maybe this would buy Robin, Steve and Dustin some time.. maybe you could get information out of Kas. Maybe you'd be ballsy enough to take him down on your own.
But how could you? If he was wearing anyone else as a puppet, you wouldn't give killing him a second thought but killing him meant killing Eddie and the more you looked at him.. the more you were unable to even think about hurting him.
Kas glances over his shoulder, his face with out emotion "Are you coming or not? You can run, but you won't get far." His voice is equally void of any emotion. You draw in a sharp breath and follow behind.
The double doors fly open by Kas's hands, turning towards you as he gestures for you to enter. You should be running, you should be running so fast that your feet set the ground on fire. But you can't, your body won't let you.
"What is this place?" You ask as you step inside, jumping as the doors loudly slam behind you. "It's my home," he breathes out in an elongated breath.
"Home?" You raise a brow in confusion, eyes trailing over the nearly empty space. It also looked familiar inside but you couldn't put your finger on why, it wasn't anything special nor fancy.
It had a Victorian like table that looked like it belonged in some old timely museum and that could easily seat at least fifty people. The chairs around it equally matched the aesthetic, dark cherry wood - almost black, intricate detailing with a throne like chair at the head of the table.
That was it. That's all there was in there. Well, as far as you could see that was.
"Vecna does not control all, he does not control me. He is in everyone else's head, not my own." Kas merely says. His voice booming and echoing with in the empty space.
"But you work for him," you whip your head around to look at Kas "I work under him, I fight along side him." Kas corrects you as he unveils his sword again.
