Kas Out of Hell

Chapter four

The five of you went from house to house, finding what you could to aid in the fight against Vecna and Kas.

Happening upon two guns, several knives which made you seriously concerned why so many Hawkins residents had a stash of a knife or two.

Steve was able to find more gas cans full of gasoline, the fire wasn't going to be small.. that's for sure.

There was also the new worry of, if it doesn't work then the five of you are sitting around watching Hawkins burn to a crisp by your own doings, potentially getting stuck in that fire and dying.

It was a true Hail Mary.

The next step was making armour, sure last time when going into the upside down.. some of you made shields, some didn't and it proved nearly useless.

You were still perplexed how you had all skipped the step of armour then, If you were all well protected.. Vecna may have been defeated, for good.

So this time it wasn't being glossed over or left as an after thought, everyone was building their own body defence mechanisms.. a layer of protection.

No one knew if the upside down was still the same, If more creatures had come out of hiding or not. If Kas came out of nowhere, who knows what else lurks down there.

It wasn't the best hand made armour, the lot of you likely looked ridiculous. Like you had scoured the garbages for something useful which wasn't far off.

Donning different types of chest plates (made with varying sheets of metal that were either lying around or could be striped down to use) making sure it still allowed agility and movements of all kinds.

One must have that everyone had to wear, no if ands or buts about it was a barrier around their neck so if the demobats were still in the upside down, no one was getting choked out this time.

If the bats tried to tangle their way around anyones neck, they'd be getting tails full of tiny little tacks. Placed through the back of the neck barriers, fully secure so no way to hurt yourself.

Everyone wore a number of rings that had been found with in jewelry boxes or hidden stashes, some were class rings, some wedding rings but most just costume jewelry.

This time you felt confident, well as confident as you could be in such situation but this time it felt like everyone really thought through every angle possible.. allowing for maximum protection and hopefully minimal damage.

It was now the worry of how strong Venca and Kas are, you all may have weapons but that doesn't really compete against supernatural powers or abilities.

"Okay game plan," Dustin starts as his eyes dart around the room at everyone else "I mean we blow the house up, try to take Vecna out on the upside.. downside? This side.." Steve shakes his head as he confuses himself.

You all watch as the gears try to turn in Steves head but they seem to have hit a snag. "Whatever - hope we can somehow save max then go into the other Hawkins while the portals open and deal with Kas." Steve shrugs as if it'll be a piece of cake.

Sounds incredibly easy in theory, you think. You hoped it would be that easy but Vecna is not dumb and considering he had to wait all this time to regain power, take over Max and cause Kas to rise and take.. Eddie's form.. you were betting he wasn't going to be fooled easily.

It was the only plan anyone had though, Mike wasn't answering his phone.. Joyce and Hopper weren't answering there's. No one could get in contact with El. Praying that one of them listened to their voicemails but.. it looked like the only type of connection that you would have going into the upside down was Mike.
