Diana walks into the lab, smiling at Tony and Bruce and looking at the scepter. She holds her hand above the gem, feeling something far more powerful inside.
Without thinking she breaks off the gem, holding it up in her hand. Time seemed to stop as something darker takes over her, breaking the gem to reveal a glowing stone. She crushes it, absorbing its power and causing the entire Carrier to explode, flying off with new power.
Diana yells out, stepping back to see the scepter was on the table untouched. "Mom?"
"Diana?" Bruce asks.
"Hey...hey what happened." Tony rushes to her side as she stumbles back. "I just....I felt something dark inside me...it showed me that there's something more powerful inside that." She points at the scepter.
Just then Fury walks in angrily. "What are you doing, Mr. Stark?"
"Uh...kind of been wondering the same thing about you." Tony turns to him, squeezing Diana's hand.
"You're supposed to be locating the Tesseract."
"We are. The model's locked and we're sweeping for the signature now. When we get a hit, we'll have the location within half a mile." Bruce nods.
"And you'll get your cube back, no muss, no fuss." Tony leaves Diana's side and turns a monitor to show a collection of secret files named 'Phase 2'. "What is Phase 2?"
Suddenly, at that moment Steve drops a Hydra assault rifle on the table causing the four to turn around. Phase 2 is Shield uses the cube to make weapons....Sorry, the computer was moving a little
slow." He says to Tony.
"Fury....what the hell is going on." Diana asks angrily.
"We gathered everything related to the Tesseract. This does not mean that we're..."
"I'm sorry, Nick. What were you lying?" Tony asks, showing him inside the files.
"I was wrong, director. The world hasn't changed a bit."
"I've never been so disappointed in you." Diana looks away from him angrily as Natasha and Thor walk in.
"Did you know about this?" Bruce asks Natasha.
"You want to think about removing yourself from this environment, Doctor?"
Bruce laughs, "I was in Calcutta. I was pretty well removed."
"Loki is manipulating you."
"And you've been doing what, exactly?" Bruce crosses his arms.
"You didn't come here because I bat my eyelashes at you."
"Yes, and I'm not leaving because suddenly you get a little twitchy. I'd like to know why Shield Is using the Tesseract to build weapon of mass destruction."
"Because of them." Fury points at Diana and Thor.
"Us?" Thor asks.
"In the forties...earth had its first visitor, Last year, Earth had another visitor from another planet who had a grudge match that levelled a small town. We learned that not only are we not alone but we are hopelessly, hilariously, outgunned."
"Our people want nothing but peace with your planet." Thor says angrily.
"But you're not the only people out there, are you? And you're not the only threat. The world's filling up with people who can't be matched, that can't be controlled."
"Like you controlled the Cube?" Diana asks. "I protected this world, never once hurting its people except nazis trying to kill innocent lives. You should be thankful for what Steve, the Commandos, and I have done." Diana raises her voice. "Your work with the Tesseract is what drew Loki to it, and his allies. It is a signal to all the realms that the Earth is ready for a higher form of war."
