??? POV
Master smelt so good when he came home that I begged to sleep with him. He seemed to be in a bit of a bad mood, so I tried to be careful, but the scent clinging onto him was so lovely that it made it difficult.
I was so happy when he said yes, but even more ecstatic when I realised he was going to shower tomorrow morning instead of tonight. This meant he would not wash away any of the precious scent, and I would be able to surround myself in it all night. I didn't get the chance to smell any outside scents very often, so this was a rare opportunity.
He quickly got changed, grumbling about some game? Once he got into bed, I shifted into my animal form and wrapped myself up into a coil next to his head. He pulled out his phone and began texting.
I didn't really care what he was doing, all I wanted to focus on was the sweet smell. It was like honey, and I could smell some type of flower as well, but that smelt artificial. Maybe from a soap or lotion?
Master was starting to smell bitter, and it was starting to take over the sweet smell. I noticed myself becoming more annoyed than worried for him, he was ruining the scent! I tried to figure out what he was getting upset over, but all I could make out from his texting was something about someone being difficult, I couldn't really tell. Maybe he had a bad day at work?
Because of my species I wasn't the best at it, but I tried my best to release calming pheromones. A little to calm down my master, but mostly so that he would stop releasing the bitter scent that was overpowering the sweet one.
I really hoped he would invite the nice smelling person over one day, that would make my otherwise dull life a little brighter, even for one day.
Jin POV
I woke up stiff on the floor. The sun was creeping in from around the curtains and I could hear some light traffic outside.
Although it would have been easier for me to sleep in my animal form, perched up on something, I was too scared that someone might be able to peek through the windows, or barge into the room.
Namjoon sleeping with a small bunny could be excused, it could easily be a pet, but an owl? That would raise suspicion.
Sitting myself up, I noticed my packmates still sleeping soundly, Namjoon was in the exact same spot from when he fell onto the bed last night. He must be so exhausted.
The clock on the wall read 6:40. We had just over 3 hours before we had to leave, so I decided to get up and go back on the hunt for a new place to live.
I carefully pulled my shoes back on and grabbed the key from the desk. I noticed there was a notepad and pen, which was rather unusual for such a cheap motel. Since it was there, I decided to write a note for the others.
Once I was outside, I stretched and breathed in the fresh air. I started listing off all of the positives of our situation:
We weren't in a shelter
We weren't in pound
We weren't stuck with an abusive owner
We weren't in an underground hybrid 'shop'
We were still together
When I was feeling overwhelmed, doing this would often help me. And today was no different.
I walked off towards the next lot of buildings, hoping to find another cheap place like the one we were living in before. I don't even know how we managed to find that place. The old lady that ran the motel took a liking to Namjoon, and she gave us a room for $20 a day in exchange for him helping her out with some chores.
