Y/N POV
"Come on, it's Friday! You can't just go home on a Friday!" Lucas tried to convince me as I packed my bag.
If my counting was right, his stupid bet would be over now, so I wasn't sure why he was still bugging me. Unless he got an extension?
"I have people waiting for me at home" I rolled my eyes at him.
"Come on, just a few drinks. A few people from the office are going. Lisa, what about you?" He turned to face her.
"I've gotta get back to my hybrid too, she's in heat and I don't wanna leave her alone for longer than I have to." she explained.
Poor Rose. I had wanted to organise another date with all of us but when Lisa told me that, we agreed it would definitely be best to do it another time. Even though Rose was taking pills to help, staying in the comfort of her house with her person close by would make the process much easier for her.
"Damn. Come on Y/N, one drink then. My shout." he faced me again, wiggling his eyebrows.
I couldn't believe that this was the same person that took me out to dinner, who let me hold his ultra-rare hybrid, who had been nothing but sweet to me. The same person that made me cry at a bar for an entire day.
Fucking dick.
"Nah, I've gotta get home too. I have guests staying at mine so I don't wanna be too rude." I gave him a light smile to hopefully get him off my case.
"Ugh you guys are so boring!" Lucas threw his hands up dramatically before admitting defeat. At least he wished us a pleasant evening before leaving.
"What is his deal?" I groaned as I slumped into my chair.
"I don't know but I don't want anything to do with him" Lisa stood up, bag in hand, ready to go.We walked towards her car, she had driven in to work today and so was going to drop me home. I was glad to avoid the train today and just get home as quickly as possible.
It had been 3 weeks since Jin rocked up at my door that windy night.
Things had been going better than I thought. At least, that's what it looked like to me. They could all be fighting tooth and nail while I was out at work, and put on a happy, peaceful front when I returned. But it didn't seem that that was the case.
Jimin and Jungkook seemed to be best buddies now, the bunny hybrid having healed up pretty well. Namjoon was finally opening up more and getting closer with Hobi and Yoongi.
From what I knew, Jin was still going out most days to look for cheap places to live and occasionally busk as well. He left the small piles of cash on the kitchen bench, almost like rent money. I had obviously tried to refuse, but he simply kept leaving money there. So I ended up storing it in a little box that I will give back to him if he ever needs the money for something, or chooses to leave.
I didn't have high hopes for him at all. He told me about their last room arrangement and I was amazed that they managed to find something so cheap - even if Namjoon was helping the owner out in return. Jin mentioned that the only reason they were only able to afford accommodation before they found that place was because they were doing underground cash jobs. But when Namjoon ended up in a nasty brawl, they decided to stop doing that.
In attempts to help them out, I had also been looking online for places, but it was no different. Everywhere was way too expensive for what Jin could make in a day from busking. Unless they were willing to try and find more cash jobs, there's no way they could afford anywhere here.
