Yoongi POV

My fuzzy ears twitched. They had a mind of their own, and right now they were interested in the faint noises coming from outside our room.

The noises sounded like whispering, feet padding around, maybe someone pulling out a mug as well. I decided I didn't care enough, and tried to tuck my head down. My attempt was blocked by something hairy.

I slowly opened my eyes, cursing the small stream of light that peaked through the gap in the curtains, and found myself staring at hair. Obviously hair is hairy. On realising it was Y/N's hair, the memories from last night came flooding back.

Every sweet kiss, every whisper, every gentle touch, all of it came back to me. I couldn't stop the smile forming on my face even if I wanted to. Y/N was in my arms after we had shown our love for each other in the most intimate way possible.

She radiated heat, but still seemed to be clinging on to me desperately as if she were freezing. I smoothed her hair down to tuck my chin over top. The pads of my thumbs ran across the skin of her back, memorising every little bump and crevice. I wanted to remember this for the rest of my life.

Alas, the whisperings outside got louder, now becoming loud enough for human ears to pick up on. Hopefully Y/N was still in a deep enough sleep that they would not wake her. I wasn't sure if I wanted to savour this moment, or if I wanted her to wake up so that I could hear her sweet voice.

My decision was made for me when Y/N started shuffling around.

"Yoongi?" Her hands searched for me, squeezing around my middle without her even opening her eyes.

"I'm right here." I whispered to her, kissing the top of her head.

This seemed to settle her, her little agitated movements coming to a stop, her body relaxing in mine. Maybe I could convince her to just stay in bed with me all day. We didn't need to go anywhere, we could just keep eachother company, safely, here. I could somehow get the others to entertain themselves.

"-morning" Y//N mumbled sleepily into my chest.

"Good morning" I pressed another kiss to her head, squeezing her tight.

We were silent for a few moments. I couldn't tell if it was an awkward silence, if maybe Y/N was regretting this after all, but her even breaths hitting my chest calmed me slightly. The peaceful moment was broken by rather loud whispers.

"What are you doing?! Put that back!"
"Be quiet!"
"I am quiet, you be quiet!"

The sound of a plate getting dropped loudly onto the bench fills my ears next.
"SHHH!!"

"What... what are they doing?" Y/N mumbled.

I doubted that she could hear what they were saying, but she'd definitely be able to hear the muffled voices. I silently cursed them for waking my mate before she was ready- woah. Okay, I'd definitely need to work on the hybrid part of my brain that was already calling Y/N my mate.

"Maybe cooking breakfast, I'm not too sure." I replied.

"Do you think... do you think they, um, know?" Her head was still tucked into my chest but it wasn't hard to spot the dark blush colouring her cheeks.

It also wasn't hard to figure out what she was talking about. She knew hybrids had heightened senses; better hearing, better sight, better sense of smell, so she probably concluded that they would have been able to hear us if they were close enough.

"Honestly?" I waited for her to look up at me with hopeful eyes. "Probably."

Y/N let out a small groan and butted her head back into my chest. I couldn't stop the breathy laughs escaping, finding her embarrassment so adorable.
