I hear a body thud and the crackles of electricity from electro.

"remember me?" he mutters, before flicking his hand and sending the desk flying, cracking the window and smashing the glass on the table.

"Oh, my, oh, my. how the tables have turned" I laugh as I walk into the room. menken stares at me in horror. "I know it's hard to admit, but how spectacular a move is this? am I right?" I look at electro for answers, and he stares forwards. "right as rain" electro agrees.

"Okay, so, fairy godmother, it is time to grant me a wish. I want into special-"

"How dare you come back in here? you recalcitrant, unworthy, defective, urchin freaks!" he spits, staring at us with ferocity. I smirk, rubbing my hands together and shooting a look at max. he gets the look, and points a finger at Menken, sending him to the floor with a bolt of electricity.

I groan, as if I didn't intend for that to happen, and say "oh, god, I'm so so sorry! that's just.. not the answer we were looking for!"

I start whistling the jeopardy theme, as I walk over to the dead security officer on the floor, and take his gun. I play with it in my hands and see electro bend down to menken, rubbing his hands together. "clear" I say jokingly, and electro puts his hands on the man, waking him up.

"Welcome back to the bonus round! hey, let's take a walk, shall we?" I say, holding the gun up to his neck. a look of fear passes him, but I only see it for a split second before I drag him up. I grab his blazer by the shoulder, and walk him out, saying behind me "the grid is all yours"

almost as soon as I say it, I hear a zap, and electro is nowhere to be seen.

the futuristic elevator comes to a stop, and the doors open swiftly. lights switch on in an instant, and I shove menken out of the opening.

"the spider venom. give it to me" I demand, but he just ignores me and keeps walking. a sudden puff of steam sounds and multiple doors open upwards, revealing all sorts of weird stuff.

"what is all this stuff?" I voice, and he just continues walking.

"the future," he says gruffly. I shove him again, and he enters the pin to open the second set of glass doors, showing me the spider venom.

he opens something, causing 5 vials full of sickly green liquid to come out of the machine.

"load one up" I chuckle breathlessly, edging the gun closer and closer to him. he begins to load something up with one of the vials with a slightly shaky hand. "it won't work. we ran every diagnostic test apart from human trials" he says calmly.

"you've already run human trials. you're just too stupid to know it" I roll my eyes, as he screws the vial onto the gun-looking machine. the liquid flows through it, and I take a deep breath.

"do it. now" I say, holding out the arm that was holding the gun.

a piercing pain stabs through me as the needle is injected into my skin. my smile fades, as I move my wrist around, seeing my skin change almost instantly. I fiddle with the gun teasingly, and suck a deep breath in, as the pain starts to increase.

"you had it all this time," I say, my voice breaking on the last word. every breath I take throbs at my head, and the pain in my arms runs through my veins, starting to stab at my shoulder. I wince and grimace as I pull in the injected arm, practically hugging it, trying to okay off the pain.

I try and laugh, as Menken looks at me with worry. I feel red. and I'm sure I look it too.

my whole body shakes as the pain becomes almost unbearable. I scrape at my arm, and my legs give in to the searing pain running through them. I've barely talked, and my throat feels hoarse, my mouth dry.
