-Steve's perspective-

I knew I heard him. It was a matter of where it came from. He better not be down here with us. It's not safe.

I started to look in all of the possible hiding spots that Henderson could go in. Behind the desks, behind everything. No sign of a curly haired kid.

"What do you mean you heard him?" Eddie furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. "I don't see him anywhere."

"I just did! I could hear it from a mile away! Henderson is one of those voices you can just..point out." It felt stupid but I started to look in the drawers.

Eddie laughed while coming closer to me. "You're such a mom."

I sighed and started to look around. He's here. I heard him. Just...where is he?

"What if you're just hearing things? I mean it could be a monster." Eddie pointed out. "You have to be careful."

He was right. It could be. Very easily. We're not exactly at our home base of knowledge.

"Come on Henderson! Speak up!!" I yell waving my hands in the air. Please say something...anything.

Eddie sighed and rubbed my back "I don't think he's here. You might've just been imagining it. It's been a stressful day."

"He has to be, I heard him." I mumbled under my breath. Maybe he was right. Maybe I did imagine it.

There was suddenly another noise. "They wouldn't...dumb...alone"

"See? I'm not crazy!" I feel my heart leap. Thank you Henderson. Being crazy would just add another thing to worry about.

Eddie nodded while smiling at me "okay...that was definitely Henderson."

"You're such a mom." I say repeating what he told me not long ago. "Ya know...since you recognized his voice too..."

"Yeah yeah yeah..." Eddie waved his hand before walking up the stairs.

I don't think he's down here. I think he's in the house but... the actual house. Not the upside down house THE house.

I started to look around to see if there was something I could do to contact him. Anything. We needed help. We couldn't get out by ourselves.

I heard trudging down the steps to see Nancy and Robin coming down along with Eddie following closely behind.

"So Dustin's down here?" Robin looked to me for an answer.

"No...he's up there." I smile while still trying to find a way.

"Like up there up there?" Nancy caught on quickly. "Like the actual house?"

"Yes! We just need a way to contact him to let him know we need help!" I was still rummaging through everything that I could but made sure I could still see the group.

Nancy scrunched her face up. I can't believe she still does that when thinking...I thought it was something she did when she was around me for charm but...I guess it's a her thing.

"I got it!" She yelled excited. "Will contacted Joyce through the lights. We can do the same."

"We just touch them...or what?" Eddie questioned while stepping forward between me and Nancy.

"Basically. If there's light touch it." Nancy said before wandering off on her own down the hall.

"Nancy! Wait up!" Robin yelled out and ran after her without a second thought. They were practically unseperated. since when were they best friends?

Since I was a wanted criminal I guess...

Couldn't be there for anyone while on the run...well...besides Eddie. I sighed and looked over at him. "Should we catch up?"

Eddie nodded slowly before walking ahead of me "probably...otherwise we'll be left behind."

I sighed and grabbed Eddie's hand tightly as I speed walked down the hallway. "Come on then."

Eddie's hand was stiff as I guided him to where Nancy would most likely be headed.

As we got to the living room, we saw that Nancy and Robin had stopped there.

"Harrington...nice" Robin smirked and looked between us two before winking.

I quickly let go of his hand. "It's not like that I was just guiding him to you guys"

Robin laughed and shook her head. "Sureeeeee"

I felt my face heat up "I swear!" My voice slightly cracked making it even worse for the believable factor.

I heard a laugh behind me "I dunno....sounded like an excuse to hold my hand, Harrington."

"Not you too Eddie..." I felt my face heat up even more.

I awkwardly placed my hands on my hips and looked forward to see Nancy touching the spheres of light. "So she's saving our asses then?"

Robin nodded and started to walk backwards to keep her eyes on us but get closer to Nancy "like usual."

She was right. I mean... when was the last time we saved them? Nancy was smart and brave. Most of the time I was just close behind following her lead.

Eddie grabbed onto my shoulder that was closest to him. "Dustin will find a way to get us out. He's a smart kid."

I sighed before looking at him "yeah...I know... I just hope he doesn't get in trouble doing it."

Eddie stood in silence for a bit before squeezing my shoulder "you worry too much. It'll be fine."

He was right. I knew I worried too much. I couldn't help it though. I was one of the only people that would worry about him that knew all that was going on.

I took a seat on the closest chair I could while Nancy tried her hardest to get someone's attention.

"Try Morse Code. Dustin's really into that." Eddie suggested before sitting close to me.

Nancy nodded and started to touch the light with a different rhythm. Robin simply watching Nancy doing it.

"You know...I worry about Dustin too... like all the time." Eddie chuckled a little "too much if you ask me."

I laughed a little back "he's always getting himself into trouble I swear."

"And then you have to step in and save him."

"Exactly!" I shouted on accident. Just...someone understood.

I knew me and Dustin weren't related or anything but I felt a responsibility to protect him...and I think Eddie felt that way too.

"Guys! I think he's catching on..." Nancy pointed to a flashing light that was making its way up the stairs.

        "Thank god, Dustin."
