Did I Ever Truly Leave?

Let's pretend for a sec that Ren was separated from his brothers and his brothers live with Aclecian and his family. Also this is 4 years after the movie.

Donnie sat in his lab laying his head on his arms. He stared at the larger than average faded pink and purple coffee mug that laid adjacent to him. It had a few small cracks and had small chipped off areas around the rim. It was incredibly worn out from use. He was having a bad day again, he was feeling down for no reason and it doesn't help that future boy is still here.

"Hey Donnie." Casey walked in. He got used to calling them by their nicknames after a month. "Are you ok? You seem sad. Is it because you cracked your mug?" Casey went over and reached out to grab it. "I'll throw it away if you want." Donnie lunged and grabbed Casey's wrist hard before Casey touched it.

"Do. Not. Touch. That." Donnie glared and Casey shrunk back. Donnie let go and sat back down. Casey rubbed his wrist. Leo walked in and connected the dots. Casey got hurt, Donnie's angry, and his mug.

"Uh Casey, don't touch that mug. It belonged to someone Don really cared about." Donnie left to his room and Leo sighed. Casey looked at him confused.

"It belonged to someone? Cared for? That's... That's past tense. Did they give it to him?" Leo closed the lab door with a frown. He hated what happened just as much as Donnie and the others.

"No. They..." Leo's breath hitched. "They died." Casey gasped. "It was five years ago. They mattered so much to us. They were the first human we ever met. We were extremely young but they weren't scared. They've never been..." Leo smiled sadly and sat in Donnie's seat. Casey pulled over another chair and sat.

*Flashback*

It was getting dark and the turtles were only five. They made their way to a manhole and with all their might the lifter it. A nine year old boy was sitting against the wall poking at the ground with a stick. He was covered in bright multi colored bandaids and had bright purple eyes. He saw the manhole open up and walked over to see the small turtles.

"Hi." He smiled. Donnie started freaking out and so was Mikey. "Hey it's ok! I'm nice!" He sat beside the opening. Raph stared at him and Leo smirked.

"I'm Leonardo but call me Leo!" He struck a pose and the others sighed. The boy giggled.

"I'm Raphael but call me Raph." He held his hand out and the boy shook it.

"I'm Michealangelo but call me Mikey! I like your bandaids!" Mikey held the boy's hand to look at the bright colors.

"I'm Donatello but call me Donnie." The boy giggled again.

"I like the names and your glasses." Donnie blushed with a smile and the others beamed in joy. "I'm [××× ×××××××]! You can call me [×××××] or [××]!" They all laughed as [×××] struck a pose.

"Guys!" Raph yelled after a few minutes of chatting with the strange boy. "Pops will know we snuck out if we don't leave!" They all whined.

"Bye bye [×××××]." Mikey sadly said before disappearing into the sewers.

"Bye [××]!" Leo smiled as left after Mikey.

"Bye [×××]." Raph said and Donnie was still bushing.

"B... Bye [×××××]." Donnie disappeared and then Raph.

"Bye new friends." The boy said sadly and walked back to the orphanage.

*End of flashback*

Leo refused to say their name or the nicknames. He was tearing up just thinking about it. "I bet he was a really great guy." Casey smiled.
