Sukoon (completed)

Part 9

It had been months that Sidharth joined his Hospital. It was now that everything was settled, hospital administration, his father's health, new department and his feelings for Shehnaaz. He was now pretty sure that these feelings were not going anywhere, no matter how hard he tried he just could not stop himself from loving her. How can he, she was such a lovely soul, he saw her taking care of his parents when he was busy with hospital, he also knew that she took care of him. There was no way he could let her go, he has to get her back.

It was late in the night when Sidharth came to her room with coffee mugs in his hand. Shehnaaz smiled at him 'Woww, kitne din baad hum aapke haath ki coffee piyenge. Bahut miss kiya iss coffee ko humne'

Sidharth: Bol deti, raat ke 12 baje bhi main tumhare liye coffee bana deta

Naaz: Haan aur saath mein 4 baatein bhi bolte 'Abhi tak soyi nayi'...'coffee pi kar need chali jayegi'. She mimicked him.

He laughed looking at her. God, how much had he missed being with her.

Sidharth: Accha mujhe laga tum mujse baat nahi kar rahi is liye coffee nahi mangti. He said with a straight face but Shehnaaz was shocked that she made it so obvious that she was ignoring him.

Naaz fumbled : Nahi, hum kk.k...kyu na..nahi baat karenge. Humko to laga aap humari bakwaas se bore ho gaye hai.

Sidharth caressed her cheeks: Kabhi nahi. Tumko pata bhi nahi hai tumhari ye 'Bakwaas' mujhe kitni pasand hai

Naaz had butterflies in her stomach. His eyes held so much love. She was unable to look at him due to his intense gaze.

Naaz tried to deviate before she fell into those deep orbs of his: Matlab hum bakwaas karte hai. Jaiye apne smart doston se hi baat kariye aap. She said faking annoyance.

Sidharth smiled at her antics: Sorry, I meant I love talking to you....Tumhara college kaisa chal raha...aur wo Raj, wo kaisa hai?

Naaz rolled her eyes: Padhayi aachi chal rahi. Raj to itna darr gaya apse ki wo ab humse baat bhi nahi karta hai. Aapki is sadi hui shakal dekh kar to koi ladka humse kabhi baat hi nahi karega.

Sidharth smiled at his small victory: Kya jaroorat hai kissi ladke se baat karne ki. I will help you get a good guy. (talking about himself)

Naaz: Theek hai, then I will also help you find a good girl

Sidharth: No need, maine aapne liye aachi si ladki dhoond li hai. Bas usko manana reh gaya hai. He said looking at her.

Naaz's heart broke again 'Har baar yahi hota hai, pehle aise dekh kar umeed dete hai aur phir dil tod dete hai' she thought. 'Kaun hai? hum jaante hai unko. Bataiye naa uske baare mein' She enquired with heartbeat running fast.

Sidharth: You know her very well but I cant tell you who she is now. I fell for her as soon as I saw her. She is very cute, smart, beautiful and very innocent.  

She could see how much he liked her by his face; making Naaz sad and it was visible on her face, Sidharth enjoyed it with a smirk 'Is she sad that I like someone' he questioned himself.  'Chalo ab so jao, kal hospital bhi jaana hai'. But sleep was far from them. The conversation kept replaying in their mind.

One evening, Dr. Srivastav came to meet Salim with his son, who was also a doctor in Sidharth's hospital, Dr. Rudra Srivastava. He was a friend of Sidharth. Rudra and Sidharth were in their room talking to each other when Shenaaz barged in with two cups of tea in her hand. She was having tea from one cup and had an extended arm offering the cup to Sidharth 'Bhaijaan, hum aapke liye chai laaye hai'. She saw Rudra and realized Sidharth was not alone. Rudra was looking at her amused, she said hello politely and started moving back 'Sorry, humko nahi pata tha apke friend aaye hai'. Rudra stopped her 'Shehnaaz wait, why don't you join us. humko bhi chai pila do' he teased her. Sidharth sensed the flirtatious tone in Rudra's voice which he didn't appreciate. She gave Sidharth's cup to him; 'Bhaijaan, hum aapke liye bana ke laate hai'

Sidharth: aapna cup mujhe do, aur khud ke liye wo health drink lao. Hamesha chai aur coffee peeti rehti ho. scolding her softly

Naaz: But isse humne piya hai. giving him excuse to not drink health drink. She detested its taste.

'Naaz, yeh pehli baar hum dono same cup se nahi pi rahe hai. Lao do chai' Sidharth said showing his haq on her.

She gave him her tea unwillingly and went out to prepare her drink

Rudra: Sid, tune kabhi bataya nahi Shehnaaz tumhare ghar mein rehti hai

Sidharth was pissed as hell: Isme batane ki kya baat hai?

Rudra: Pata hota to main pehle hi milne aata. Tumhare saath bore ho jaunga isliye nahi aata tha but company to yaha aachi hai.

Sidharth: Koi company aachi nahi milti, teri jaan le leta bahut aachi company mein baitha hota to. To tu mujhse hi baat kar, i just cant share you with anyone darling. He joked after giving a clear warning to Rudra. 

Shehnaaz came with her drink and was about to sit on couch when she was pulled to bed by Sidharth making her sit next to him. Rudra found it weird seeing the possessiveness of Sidharth but he ignored it.

Rudra: This is your last year for MS? Iske baad kya?

Naaz: Ji, last year hi hai. Iske baad hospital join kar lenge.

Rudra: Matlab aap se milte rahenge.

Naaz was a little awkward: ji, jaroor.

Sidharth put his arm around her neck and pulled her in 'Naaz, why do you think I will hire you?' he asked mischievously

Naaz: hayee, Aap humne nahi lenge. Kitni talented hu main, aapko abhi tak pata nahi chala.

Sidharth teased her: Pediatric ka candy budget dekh kar tumhara talent pata chal raha hai. 

Naaz: Hum jaa rahe hai, sabke samne bejaati karte rehte hai humari.

She stomped her feet and left. Sidharth and Rudra were smiling at her antics. 'Cute' whispered Rudra gaining attention from Sidharth who was glaring at him.
