Part 31

Sidharth woke up in the morning and saw dry tears on Shehnaaz's cheek. He remembered how worried she was last night. He was now determined to end this case as early as possible. He kissed her forehead and murmured 'very soon baby'. He was two minds till last night as he was fighting his own family but now looking at Shehnaaz it was clear to him that this has been disturbing her and even his family even though they might hide their fears.

He informed the detectives about the phone numbers and asked them to investigate it. Now, they did not have luxury of time board meeting was round the corner, so he decided to take matters in his hand. He reached out to the commissioner.

Sidharth: Sir, I have been very patient from last few weeks, but I am not seeing any progress. I don't trust the inspector in charge; he has not been very keen to find culprits.

Commissioner: Sorry Sidharth, I understand your concern. We will put in our best officer on this case. Please don't worry.

Sidharth: Can we have Mr. Ritesh on this?

Commissioner: Absolutely!!! Main bhi wahi soch raha tha.

Sidharth: Thank you Sir!!

Deepak and Dheeraj were in jail from last 3 weeks and were getting restless. Now their lawyer had almost stopped visiting them. They were roaming around jail garden during the day when they saw a man silently sitting in corner amidst the jail chaos. Their eyes came out of socket when they identified the man.

Deepak and Dheeraj unanimously: Yousuf!! Tum yahan kyu ho?

Yousuf: Tumko nahi pata kyu hu. Pakda gaya main. Maine to kuch kiya bhi nahi tha. (He was almost sobbing now)

Deepak: Kya matlab hai? Police ko sab pata chal gaya?

Yousuf: Haan. Case solve ho gaya hai. Suleiman aur Rizwan ka bhi pata hai police ko, but wo dono desh chor kar bhag gaye.

Deepak: Bhag gaye??? Aise kaise bhag gaye? Unhone to bola tha wo sab sambhal lenge

Yousuf: Yaar, chilao mat. Mujhe to bhai bhai karte the. Unke khandan ka tha main par kya kiya. Pehle mauke pe chor ke chale gaye naa. Tum log kya ho. Aur main tum dono se baat nahi karna chahta; mera case kharab hoga. Jao tum dono.

Yousuf left from there leaving stunned Deepak and Dheeraj behind.

Dheeraj: Bhaiya, yeh sach bol raha hai?

Deepak: Pata nahi Dheeraj, kal ka intezaar karte hai. somvar ko vakeel babu aate hai, unse puchte hai.

The next day went without anyone visiting the murderer brothers. By evening they were tensed; Yousuf's words were ringing in their ears

Dheeraj: Bhaiya, Ye Yusuf sach to nahi bol raha tha

Deepak: Lagta to hai; Ab vakeel babu aate hi nahi hai.

Dheeraj: Wo to sab karke nikal gaye aur hum yaha jail mein sadd rahe hai. Yeh galat hai bhai. He said gritting his teeth

Deepak: hmmm. Kal wapas se iss Yusuf se baat karte hai.

The next day, they were searching for Yusuf, but unlike the last time today Yusuf looked happy.

Deepak: Yusuf, tumse baat karni hai.

Yusuf: Mujhe nahi karni hai. He tried to leave.

Deeraj pulled him to a corner: Bhaiya ne bola baat karni hai to kahan jaa raha hai.

Deepak: Aaram se chote. Yusuf, tumhe kisne bataya, wo dono bhaag gaye hai?

Yusuf: Meri ammi ne, wo gayi thi usse milne par wo nahi mile. Naukar ne bola bahar gaye hai

Dheeraj: Jo kuch bhi pata hai abhi bata do.

Yusuf: Kya bata du. Dhoka diya unn dono ne. Wo to shukr hai Sidharth Bhaijaan jo abhi bhi mujpe taras kha kar mere liye itna bada vakeel rakha.

Dheeraj: Matlab, tumne police ko sab bata diya

Yusuf: Haan, maine sab bata diya. Court mein gavahi bhi dedi. Police ki madad karne ke liye meri saza bhi ka mho gayi. 2 mahina ke baad main azad ho jaunga. He said with a content smile.

Dheeraj punched him on face; Yusuf fell on the ground bleeding profusely from his nose 'Aise kaise azad ho jayega tu? Tune kuch nahi kiya?' Dheeraj said with anger filled eyes.

Yusuf retorted 'Kya kiya tha maine? Bata kya kiya tha? Sirf phone pe baat hi to karayi thi. Phone pe baat karane ke liye 3 mahina jail mein hu. Tum log to murder kiye ho. Ab mujhe maar kar kya hoga'

Dheeraj fell on the ground with a thud and cried 'Nahi kiya murder humne. Main to bas dekhne gaya tha ki sahi insaan pe hi hamla kar rahe naa. Sab kuch Suleiman ne kiya, plan uska, gunde uske...sab kuch usne.....Hum bhi lalach mein apne bache ko marwane to tayyar ho gaye'. Yusuf looked at them with a shocked expression 'Tum log nahi maare? To ilzaam kyu le rahe ho?'. Deepak tried calming his younger brother 'Rizwan ne vakeel rakha tha; wo bolta tha hume nikal lega. Par ab wo aata hi nahi hai. Humko bura faswa diya'

Yusuf: Ek baat bolu. Main Sidharth bhai se baat karta hu; shayd wo madad kar de

Deepak: Wo kyu madad karega?

Yusuf: Badla; Suleiman aur Rizwan se badla lena hai unhe.

It was late night, when Sidharth phone rang; he looked on his side and found his beautiful wife sleeping in his arms frowning due to sudden sound disturbing her. He carefully removed his arms, placing her on a pillow and picked up the call. A smile formed on his face. 'Good, Ab court se date jaldi lo. Let us get this over with'. Shehnaaz was awake now 'Kya hua Jaan? Kiska phone tha?'

<FLASHBACK>

Sidharth: Yusuf, Ab tumhari jaroorat hai. Tayar ho?

Yusuf: Ji bhai

Sidharth: Kal tumhe jail jaana hai.

Yusuf: Par bhai. wo log jhoota case banake phasa denge mujhe.

Sidharth: Ghabrao mat. Sirf natak hai, jailor se baat hui hai. Wahan Deepak and Dheeraj ko convince karna hai ki Suleiman ne unhe dhoka diya hai aur unka confession nikalwana hai. And tumhare liye police se bhi baat hui hai, if you confess truthfully then tumhari saaza kam hogi. Tumhare ilzaam bhi bade nahi hai, aur police ka witness banke maafi bhi mil sakti hai. Ab aram karo, Baaki details kal aadmi aake dega.

Yusuf: Par unse koi milne aayega tab unhe sach pata chal jayega

Sidharth: Uski chinta mat karo, wo hum sab sambhal lenge. Par kaam iss hafte ho jana chahiye.

Yusuf: Ji bhai, ho jayega. Chota bhai darpok hai usko todna hoga.

Sidharth smiled looking at Shehnaaz 'Sab theek hone wala hai baby. So jao, it's going to be a Good morning'. Shehnaaz enquired 'Aapka plan success??'. Sidharth smiled and nodded his head. She jumped on him and wrapped her hands around his shoulder 'Bahut aachi khabar hai ye to...Allah ka bahut bahut shukriya'. Sidharth caressed her cheeks with adoration 'Plan changed lets make it a good night' he winked and pulled her for a bone crushing hug.
