Part 21

Rizwan and Suleiman were away from Lucknow which brought a lot many changes to the Hospitals. The department heads were more inclined towards free-services in Hospital for poor. This hospital for Khan family was never a business; they always believed, since they are privileged, its their responsibility to give back to society. 

Sidharth was now planning for a separate hospital for poor which would be funded by several charity organizations. Sidharth was holding a meeting with department heads for new hospital when Shehnaaz barged in his cabin furiously 'Sidharthhhhhh'. She was startled to see so many people in his cabin; Sidharth raised his eyebrow mouthing 'what?'. Her anger vanished and she giggled nervously 'Sorry I will come later'; she started stepping backward slowly. 'Wait for me there' said Sidharth sternly while pointing to his personal room that was adjacent to his cabin. 

Shehnaaz waited for him in his room. Sidharth hastily finished his meeting knowing his fiancé was not in a great mood when she entered the cabin. The heads smiled at their chairman who acted all stern and strict for everyone but was a scaredy-cat in front of Shehnaaz. 

Sidharth pretended anger: Haan bolo kya hua jo knock karna bhool gayi?  

Shehnaaz: Why are my exams delayed?

Sidharth frowned at her question and gave a duhhh expression: Coz I wanted you to enjoy our Nikah peacefully without stress of exams

Shehnaaz: To koi bhi abhi Shaadi karega to aap uske liye exams delay kara doge?

Sidharth: Agar wo mujhse Shaadi karegi to YES. But will you allow that?

Shehnaaz: Maana aapke Abbu ka college hai but itni manmani theek nahi hai...aapko pata hai baaki students kya bolenge. Sab humne tease kar rahe the...bole delay bhi kyu kiya pass hi kara dete. They are acting as if I am nepo product... and I don't work hard.

Sidharth: Baby, don't cry. Dekho, its true we do get several perks because of our family and people will be jealous of that, they were not lucky enough to be born in our family. Aise to sab mujhe bhi kehte hai that I only became a Chairman because of my father and its TRUE. But what I do as a chairman is up to me. Similarly, how you do in your exam will be your hardwork. (he then says playfully) Waise agar jyada privileged feel ho raha ho to there is a bad news; tumhara exam re-papers ke saath scheduled hai, so if you fail then then ek saal ka back. So please padhayi kar lena..point prove karne ke chakkar mein chairman ki biwi fail ho jaye🤐...it will not suit my reputation. 

'Hum bahut smart hai, I will pass with golden colors' she said. Sidharth face palmed himself 'Rainbow colors...Gadhi'. 'Hum bright student hai naa to golden shiny colors se pass honge' she replied cheekily. 'Pata nahi aap kaise karte ho, humare to dimaag mein baith jaati hai logo baatein. Thank You'. 'Instead of Thank you..I would prefer a return "GIFT"' He said winking at her.

Rizwan: Abbu, Shekhar ne join kar liya hai hospital. But agar usko bhi Sidharth ne apne side kar liya tab?

Suleiman: Pareshan mat ho beta, Sidharth ko pata nahi hai Shekhar humara aadmi hai. Sidharth uspe shaq bhi nahi karega

Rizwan: Aap bahut jyada bharosa kar rahe hai uspe. Chachu tak saath chor gaye, kissi paraye pe itna bharosa theek nahi. 

Suleiman: Beta, woh humara saath paise ke liye nahi balki isliye de raha hai kyuki wo Ruby ko pasand karta hai. Humare pariwaar ka hissa banna chahta hai. Pyar insaan se kya nahi karata. He said with evil smile. Rizwan's blood boiled on listening Shekhar likes his sister. He fisted his hands and asked his Father with gritted teeth 'To kya aap Ruby aur Shekhar ka nikah karayenge?'

Suleiman: Beta, tum bahut bhole ho. Shekhar bas ek mahura hai jo sirf apni kurbani dega humare liye. Hum to sirf usse sapne dikhayenge, jisse wo humare ungli pe naache. Ek baar kaam ho gaya tab uska sapna bhi toot jayega.

Both the families were busy with Nikah preparation. Sidharth let his family and Shehnaaz decide everything, he wanted to let her have her dream wedding.

Sidharth: Naaz, ammi bol rahi thi ki tum meri sherwani nahi khareed rahi? Kya hua?

Shehnaaz: Aap eid ka koi kurta pehen lijiyega; waise bhi dulhan ke bhai pe koi dhyan nahi deta.

Sidharth joined his brows: Kya bakwaas kar rahi ho Naaz. Dulhan ka BHAI??? 

Shehnaaz: Kya hua? Humari shaadi khud se ho rahi hai naa to aapko naye kapde kyu chahiye? Hum khud hi 6 baar qubool hai bol denge.

Sidharth slapped his forehead: Naaz, tum kuch bina drama ke nahi bol sakti ho naa. Itni lambi kahani ki kya jaroorat thi...bolo kya karna hai mujhe.

Shehnaaz: Aapko humare saath nikah ki tayari karani chahiye aisa lag raha hai ki hum maar ke aapko shaadi kara rahe. Koi interest hi nahi hai apko.

Sidharth smiled at his drama queen 'Naaz, tumhari alag kahani hai, jab jaata hu to naraaz hoti ki tumari pasand ka nahi ho raha...ab disturb nahi kar raha to 'interest nahi hai''  

Shehnaaz: Aapko ek raaz ki baat batau....husband 101 mein hai...aapko saath mein chalna hai...ACT karna hai choose karne ka aur phir meri choice ko choose karna hai.

Sidharth laughed loudly 'Naaz, that's a brilliant idea; this is the one which will make our marriage successful..Thank you. Biwi is always RIGHT'

The entire month went in his brilliant acting of choosing things. Next week was their Nikah, Siddharth came to her room and asked her to pack for 2 days trip. 'Nikah ko ek hafta hai, abhi hum kahan jaa rahe hai?' she asked with concern. 'Its important. Be ready, we will leave at 6 AM' he said with stern expressionless face. 

Next morning Shehnaaz was ready on time, she was worried unaware of what was happening around her. He was also not answering her questions; they boarded on a charted flight. 'Kya hua hai Sidharth, itna jaroori kya tha jo nikah ke baad nahi kar sakte the?' She again asked. 'So jao, its going to be a long day' he replied.

She was surprised to see where Sidharth had brought her. It was her father's grave.

Sidharth: Phupha ji, Main Sidharth, Salim ji ka beta. Main bahut chota tha jab aapne mujhe dekha tha. I wanted to get your permission before I marry Naaz. I love her more than anything..anyone in this world and I promise to keep her happy always...maybe not always but mostly. I assure you I will support her and care for her till my last breath.

Shehnaaz was emotional to hear him talk to her father. She said with teary eyes 'Abbu, hum bahut khush hai Sidharth ke saath. Wo humara, humse bhi jyada khyal rakhte hai. I miss you so much....aap bahut khush hote Sidharth se mil kar'

Sidharth hugged her and let her cry for sometime. 'Thank you' she said after calming herself. 'Baby, how can I marry you without seeking blessing from father in law. Waise he said he is happy ki bala talli sar se'. She slapped him on his biceps 'Hum unki jaan the, woh bhoot ban kar aapke peeche padenge agar aapne kabhi humne rulaya to'. He smiled seeing her happy. 'We are going to your daadi jaan now' he said. 'No, Humne unhe bulaya tha par woh log abhi bhi gussa hai, bahut bala bura kaha ammi ko' She said with concern. 'You guys might not have best relation but we can never be happy without their blessing. Main hu naa, main baat karunga' he reassured her.
