Part 32

The next week was a happy week; everyday a news came which bought the culprits to their doom. Deepak, Dheeraj and Yusuf confessed in court making Suleiman and Rizwan as primary suspect. They were arrested by police. The Board had selected Sajia as next Chairman since the other contestant was Rizwan who was currently in jail.

Siddharth: Salam, Taya Abbu. 

Suleiman gritted his teeth seeing Sidharth had come to visit him in jail: Yahan kya karne aaye ho Sidharth. Humare jhakmo pe namak chirakne.

Siddharth: Nahi Tauji; bas bolne aaya tha aage se aise behuda plan mat banayiga; kyunki aagli baar kuch aaisa hua to police ko involve nahi karunga. Seedhe faisla main hu lunga. 

Suleiman laughed evilly: Sidharth...mere bachche...tumhe kya lagta hai tum jeet gaye...Abhi sirf court mein hai; saja nahi mili hai mujhe; SC jaate jaate pata nahi kya ho.

Sidharth scoffed at Suleiman's overconfidence: Tau ji Aap bhool rahe hai apne ye kyu kiya tha; Abbu ki jagah aapko throne pe baithna tha par ab to wo kabhi nahi hoga. Maan lijiye aap jail se nikal bhi gaye...jo main hone nahi dunga par phir bhi...tab tak aap itne kamzoor ho jayenge ki aap ke liye kabhi mumkin nahi hoga chairman ban paana. Haar to aap gaye hai. 

Suleiman was seething with anger: Jao yahan se..Aage ka to waqt hi batayega

Shehnaaz: Kya hua Sidharth? Aap savere kahan chale gaye the

Sidharth saw his wife coming from washroom, drying her hair from towel. Her smile was infectious, he smiled looking at her beautiful face which was glowing in the sunlight. She frowned 'Kya hua aapko? Abhi pareshan the aur abhi smile kar rahe; Dimaag theek to hai naa aapka'. Sidharth laughed at his wife's complain, 'Sab theek hai begum. Pareshan tha but tumko dekh kar sab theek ho gaya'

Shehnaaz: Ohho, savere savere romance. Kya baat hai.

Sidharth nuzzled his nose in crook of her neck taking in her scent: Sorry jaan, bahut din se tum par dhyan nahi diya. Itna pareshan tha.

Shehnaaz cupped his face in her small palms: Humne kabhi aapse complain ki...nahi naa...hum bhi to pareshan the to aap pe dhyan nahi de paaye 😝; to hisaab barabar.

Sidharth chuckled listening to Shehnaaz; he knew she lied to relax him. She was always there ensuring that he had all the support; be it helping Sajia with hospital work; Reesha with household or Saleem with his health requirements; she did it all. She was available when he was emotionally vulnerable; she was there solving the case with him; she was taking care of the hospital reputation. 

'You are like a Durga with several hands; Har haath se kuch naa kuch karti ho' Sidharth complimented her 'I love you Jaan; but I think you love me more'. He pulled her in for a hug. 'We love each other equally...I am extremely talented  so I am quicker and better than you'. Sidharth laughed out loud 'Oh Baby; you are one in a million. I love you so so so soooo much. Aaj chutti le lo naa. We will spend the day together'. Shehnaaz smiled in the hug 'OK'.

They were cuddled into each other while watching a cricket match; which Shehnaaz did not seem to enjoy. 'Aap aaj savere kahan gaye the?' She asked. Sidharth tightened the grip around her waist unconsciously;  'Taya Abbu se milne' he replied with a poker face. 'Unko abhi bhi guilt nahi hai aur aap abhi bhi unke liye sochte ho. Pata hai apne dimag ki sun kar ye sab kiya warna to aap unhe maaf karte rehte. Sidharth wo Khooni hai; unke liye pareshan mat ho' She was almost scolding him. Sidharth looked at her amazed 'How did you know?'. 'Biwi hu aapki; samjhti hu aapko' she replied not looking at him. 'Shehnaaz, Taya Abbu ne bahut pyar diya hai mujhe. Dil maanta hi nahi wo aisa kuch kar sakte hai. Har baar jaata hu dekhne ki shayad mere Tayaji mujhe wapas mil jaaye par haar kar hi aata hu. Pata nahi kab wo aise ho gaye' he said almost choking. 'Agar Sumit ki jagah main ya Sadiq hote tabhi kya aap apne Taya ji ko milne jaa paate?' She asked. Sidharth looked at her with anger filled eyes. 'Nahi jaa paate naa; aapne aapna parivaar nahi khoya iska matlab ye nahi ki unka gunah kam ho gaya. Wo khooni hai aur khaaoni hi rahenge. Aapka dil itna hi pighal raha hai to jayiye unke paas; kyunki hum aise insaan ko pyaar nahi de payenge jiske dil mein ek darinde ke liye hamdardi ho. Wo aapke Parivaar honge humare nahi hai'. She was leaving but Sidharth held her hands 'Itna gussa aata hai meri begum ko; mujhe aaj pata chala. Main samjh raha hu tum kya keh rahi ho; mera dimaag bhi wahi kehta hai par dil dhoka de raha hai'

'Haath hataiye Sidharth. Aur aapka dil jab sambhl jaaye tab baat kariyega humse'. She was livid, trying to free her hands from his hold; unable to succeed she started crying. Sidharth unable to understand the reaction quickly left her hand and shouted on her 'Kya hai yaar, tau hai mere. ek jhatke mein kaise rishta tod lu. Kyu nahi samjh rahi ho'. She responded with equally loud shout 'Bacha khoya hai maine aapke tau ke kaand ki wajah se aur dukh manane ke mauka bhi nahi mila mujhe, par aap jaiye apne tau ke paas unka insaan bahar nikaliye'. Sidharth was numb; unable to make sense of what she said. All he could see was his wife was now a crying mess; he cupped her face and asked with concern 'Kya ho gaya Shehnaaz? Please baby, darao mat bolo kya hua tha?'

<Flashback>

It was a week after the controversy; Shehnaaz was felt pain in her lower abdomen and she started bleeding heavily. It did not look like a normal period. She is a doctor, she knew what was happening to her but unable to believe, she went to Piya.

Piya: Sana, tumhe pata hai ye kya hai

Shehnaaz: Please Piya, please don't say it. say that I am misdiagnosing 

Piya shook her head in a no: I think stress and over exertion on body caused this miscarriage. There is a dead fetus which your body is trying to flush out. Take these pills; they will empty your uterus. I am sorry Shehnaaz.

Piya hugged her tightly to calm her, rubbing her back 'Sidharth Sir ko bulau?'. 'No, not now. I just want to go home' Shehnaaz said and left from there.
