'Who would care to tell me what changed in a day. One day I am out and we became a illegal organ transplant organization' He roared at everyone in the meeting room.
Sajia: Calm down, bhai.
Sidharth: I need to know what happened. I need full details on this.
Sajia: A boy was admitted after an accident. He had an internal head injury due to which he was in coma, the blood clot was near vital structure so was inoperable. We had informed parents that nothing could be done; we had to wait and watch.
Sidharth: I need patient's file...Who was handling the case?
Sajia: Here. Dr. Shekhar was handling this case. He joined us 6 months back.
Sidharth: Who interviewed him?
Sajia: It was Dr. Sharma, HOD of General Surgery.
Sidharth: Ok, and what about organ donation...who discussed to his parents on that?
Sajia: It was Dr Shekhar only.
Sidharth: Alright, Now everyone you can leave. Dr. Sharma please stay back.
Sharma: Yes, Sidharth???
Sidharth: How do you know Dr. Shekhar? Have you ever worked with him?
Sharma: No, actually I was given his resume by Suleiman. He said he is his friend's son, he told me he is very good; also his resume was pretty impressive.
Sidharth frowned, he knew it was not as simple as it seemed. 'Thank you, you can leave too' he said looking at the patient's file.

It was late night, SIDNAAZ were in their bedroom, Sidharth was fidgeting with his finger with a frown on his face. Shehnaaz laid next to him, and put her palms on his face caressing his cheeks 'Kya hua, baby. Kuch gadbad hai kya? Kuch galat kiya hai kya humne?' she asked in a concerned voice. 'Maybe' he replied still lost in his thoughts. 'Abhi kya plan hai? your next steps?' she again asked. 'Abhi pehle pata karna padega hua kya hai. I can not simply rely on Dr. Shekhar, i need to know more about him before trusting him. Tumne kabhi usse baat ki hai?' He asked her. 'Nahi. But aapko saq hai uspe??' She asked surprised. 'hmmm. Sure nahi hu. but he was appointed by taya abbu, and I am uncomfortable with that' He replied. Shehnaaz knew he was always surrounded by vultures who were ready to tear him apart at every stumble. 'Sab sahi ho jayega, bas soch samjh kar decisions lijiyega' she engulfed him into a hug saying it and put him to sleep.

Sidharth had gone through the patient's file multiple times; he knew if enquiry is set-up then nothing can be found against hospital but he still felt something was missing. It had been 3 days since the controversy; there was a media conference planned today.
Spokesperson: Hi All, Thank you for coming. We are very sorry to the family undergoing the loss, we can feel their pain. We had completed with our investigation which was done by a third party which comprised of a medical team and a investigation team. We will let them take over and share their observations with everyone.
Investigation Team: After thoroughly investigating the matter we found the patient; Sumit Srivastava; was injured on his head and had bleeding in brain near his vital structure. This clot caused the patient to go in coma; it was inoperable clot and only options in such cases are to wait and watch. Unfortunately for the patient; the bleeding did not stop and the clot increased pressing on vitals causing organ failures which was the reason for patients death. We did not find any negligence in this case. We also went through the CCTV to find if the family was reached out for organ donation. We will let everyone see the clips but we saw doctors talked to patients family for around half and hour before they signed the paper. We did not see any altercation or arguments between them over this matter. Everyone looked calm and it appeared the family signed the documents willingly. We also interviewed people and patients around to know if there was any malpractice. Nothing suspicious came up in our investigation. We have submitted our investigation to police and medical board. Now let's play the clip. We will take questions after the clip is over.
The clip showed what investigators pointed, they also showed interviews of people around. It appeared that hospital was wrongly accused.
Reporter 1: Sir, what about the family? How have they responded to your investigation?
Team: we have not shared a copy with them as we were hired by medical board so we had to submit our reports to them. So we are not sure of their feedback
Reporter 2: Who was the doctor responsible? Any action on the doctor involved?
Spokesman: Sorry but we will not public the doctor's name. All we can say is that he has served for more than 10 years and has a good reputation among his patient. He has a success rate of more than 95% in surgeries he has performed. Also, we can not take action on a doctor for whom we have not found any evidences so far.
There were several questions asked in the conference but the media was still blaming the hospital. They were indicating that the investigation team was corrupt.
Shehnaaz was worried about Sidharth after the response of conference so went to meet him. She found him sitting on his desk with his hand on his head. His eyes were red due to tiredness and lack of sleep.
Shehnaaz: Aap theek hai?
Sidharth: hmmm. Just a little tired
Shehnaaz cupped his face in her small palms and kissed his eyes. 'Sab theek ho jayega' she assured him.
'Ek baat bolu aap gussa to nahi honge humse' she asked nervously. He nodded his head asking her to continue. 'Aap Shekhar ko suspend kar dijiye. Media ko action chayote. Jab tak so nahi hoga will shant nahi rahenge. Hospital se bada to nahi hai na Shekhar'. Sidharth was angry with the suggestion ' Naaz, Tum kiya bakwaas kar rahi ho. Tum janti ho main aisa kabhi nahi karunga, I will never compromise on my ethics. If he is not at fault then I can never put him under the bus'. Shehnaaz could see how uncomfortable he got with her suggestion. 'Sorry, hum bas hospital ke liye soch rahe the. Bahut patients ko problem ho rahi hai, agar ye stretch hua to aur dikat hi hai'. She left after calming him down.
Sidharth to PA: call everyone to the conference room. I have an announcement to make
Everyone was in the conference and were confused on why the meeting was kept. Shekhar too was nervous as he anticipated that could loose his job. Sidharth entered the room and stood on the platform and the room became silent. After few seconds of silence he said 'Our hospital, doctors and patients have suffered a lot due to this controversy. Unfortunately they are still suffering even after the investigation report has come out. I think some one has to take the blame for it.'
Shekhar was sweating by now he knew if he was thrown out of SK hospital the he might not a job in any big hospital.
Sidharth: And the person who should be responsible for all this should be ME. So as of today I AM RESIGNING FROM MY POSITION OF CHAIRMAN.
Shehnaaz and Sajia were shocked so were several others but a smile played on Suleiman's face. 'Phase 2 successful' he murmured.
