Chapter 2: The First Sunny Day

March had only just begun, and the snowy days were becoming warmer and warmer with each passing day. Levy walked outside into the white rays of sunshine and stretched. "I'm so glad. Finally, the weather is so nice again!" She wanted to run around in the cool breeze. "Maybe..." She asked herself, "Maybe I'll have some fun today! For once, anyway." Without thinking, she ran back inside and got her bag. "I know just what to do today!" Levy darted back out the door and hurried to Magnolia. "I haven't seen her in a while!" She panted to herself as she ran.

She walked near the center of town to a very normal looking duplex building. "It's here." She walked up the stairs to the door and knocked. No answer. "Oh, is she still sleeping? That lazy little lump..." She tried turning the knob and that opened the door. "Why is it unlocked? Eh, who cares." Closing the door behind her, she made her way through the semi-dark hall in front of her.

She eventually got to a bedroom. She saw a figure laying under the pink covers. There she was. Suddenly, she lightly jumped on top of the bed!

Immediately after she heard a female voice yell "OOOWWWWWWW!" And Levy giggled and swiftly moved to the edge of the bedside. A pretty blonde girl threw the covers up, flailing her arms frantically and screaming "NATSU, I SWEAR TO GOD IF THAT WAS YOU I'LL--" She stopped as soon as she saw it was Levy, looking rather frightened and dismayed. "Oh, Levy! I'm so sorry... I didn't mean to scream like that. Natsu has done this to me before." She hugged her. 

"I-its okay..." Levy replied back, Lucy letting go. "Hey, if anything I should be the sorry one, but i had to wake you up somehow" she justified.

"No no no! I'm totally cool with it! Only because it's you." 

Levy was confused. "So, then, why did you assume I was Natsu of all people? I barely even weigh as much as he does!"

Lucy giggled. "Oh, it's like I just now told you. He is always popping up inside of my house whenever he feels like it." Levy grinned at the thought. "Oh~?" Levy's grin turned somewhat sinister.

Lucy blushed super red almost instantly. "Oh no no no no no! I-its not like that! "I'll have you know it's been at least a WEEK since he last did it!"

Without thinking, Levy inquired, "So it's a new record?" 

Lucy blushed again. "Shutup! J-just tell me why you're here, already!"

Levy instantly got serious. "I came to ask for your advice about something."

Lucy looked up, saying "on what? If anything it should be ME asking you for advice!"

Levy rolled her eyes. "No, no! Something else. Its about..." The faintest blush appeared on her face. "B-boys. About boys."

Lucy was shocked. "Boys!? What would I know about that!? I've NEVER had a boyfriend... Um... At least not yet."

Levy was taken aback. "I thought you would know something! Aww..." She pouted. Lucy replied "Listen, I'm sorry... I just don't know what to do if I've never been in a relationship... It's a struggle." She started stroking her messy golden-blonde hair.

"Well I want to be in a relationship. And I'm surprised you aren't in one..." Levy said, sounding unhappy.

Lucy was confused at the thought. "Why is that?" Levy didn't even think about what she said next. "Because you're hot and I'm not and you look like one of those girls who gets all the guys or something.

"Huh!? Don't you think that's kinda... Stereotypical?! For both you and me!?" Lucy asked, visibly shocked and kind of offended.

 Levy blankly stated "No. I'm just not that attractive-" Lucy cut her off. "Don't ever say that! You're so pretty and I love you."

"That has to be a lie... But whatever. Anyway, I don't find people attractive by looks, but by personality." Levy explained.

Lucy tilted her head. "Personality? Hmm... I wish I could do that, but Natsu is far better when it comes to looks, honestly..."

Levy simply replied," Uh huh, sure. You like him. I know you do. Anyway, I just don't know."
Lucy just fired back,"Oh! I know! It's about GAJEEL. You like Gajeel! Don't you?!" 

Instantly Levy's voice became shaky. "I- No- Not him! W-well, Maybe, it's not-" she was stuttering.

Lucy softly patted her head. "It's okay, we all love someone at some point in our lives." 

"I guess... But, do you promise that you won't tell anyone...?" Levy asked, with an earnest look in here eyes.

 "Yeah! What are best friends for?" Lucy smiled. "Just as long as you don't tell anyone I like Natsu, okay?" Levy brightly smiled right back at her best friend. "It's a deal, sister!"
