Chapter 10: 1st Date

"Damn..." Gajeel woke up early that morning. "I probably went to bed early last night." He sat up and yawned a little. "I should probably take Levy out today. I mean, I asked her out and all... Maybe she'll want to go?" He got up, got ready, and headed over to Fairy Tail to wait for her.

Levy was walking over to Fairy Tail when she felt something softly land on her head. "Oh... Huh?" She stopped. "Lily, is that you?" The black cat jumped off her head and his wings appeared. "The one and only~" he said. "Levy! I missed you!" he hugged her. "I'm sorry I was gone lately." She shook her head and smiled. "Don't worry about it!" She affectionately scratched his head. "That doesn't stop you from being my favorite cat~!"

Lily purred. "I'm glad you think that." He sat on her head as she kept walking. "So, where ya headed?"

"I'm gonna go and find Gajeel... You seen him?" Lily looked up in thought. "No." He mewed. "He just ran out of his house this morning."

"Hmm? So you think he could be at the guild? It's where I'm headed after all."

"Where else?" Lily chuckled. "It's kind of his favorite place. So of course he's there." Levy sighed with relief. "Thank you. Let's go!" She began to run.

"HEY!" Levy was holfing on to her shoulder. "DONT RUN SO FAST! LEVY SLOW DOWN-"

Meanwhile, Gajeel was half asleep on a table. Laxus sat across from him. He was playing with Gajeel's hair. Then, someone walked up to him. Laxus stopped and looked at him. It was Gray Fullbuster, an Ice Mage. He's a nice guy who can be mean at times on accident, acts like an emo sometimes, and has a stripping problem that makes everyone kinda uncomfortable.

"What the hell you doing?" He bluntly inquired. Laxus cocked an eyebrow. "Having fun." Gray rolled his eyes and sat next to him. "Never mind. Why is Gajeel half asleep?" Laxus snickered. "I dunno. He was up, and he sorta fell asleep on the table. I thought I'd just..." Gray finished his sentence. "...Play with his hair?"

"Yeah. Don't act like you never wanted to. His hair is amazing."

"Yeah, whatever."

Then, Gajeel groaned. "Urgh..." He sat up. "Did I fall asleep? Again? Shit." He felt his hair. "Who touched my...? Screw it. Seen Levy?"

Laxus replied "no. Oh wait. Your girlfriend?" He grinned at the thought. Gajeel felt like he was being attacked. "yES WE ARE DATING NOW. PROBLEM--?"

"No. You're hot together. I mean... No. No problem."

Gajeel and Gray stared at him with weird faces. "Wha-" Gajeel was saying. But then Laxus fired his finger to the front door. "Theres levy. Over there. You're welcome. Get some." Then he was gone in literally a flash. Gajeel looked over, and she really was there. "Damn. Good timing" Gray said. "Have fun." And he walked off.

Gajeel walked over to Levy, who was looking around. "Heya." He surprised her. "Gajeel! You scared me!"

"I'm sorry-" he was gonna say but she jumped up and hugged him. "I was looking for you! So was Lily." Lily sat on Gajeel's shoulder. "Hey buddy!" Gajeel cheerfully greeted his cat. Lily purred and nuzzled him. "Heya, Gajeel. Levy's got something to say."

Gajeel looked at her. She nervously asked him "I was wondering, do you want to go somewhere with me? Just us?" He nodded. "A date? Yeah. I wanna."

"I have an idea. Follow me." She said, she took his hand and walked him out. Lily jumped off his shoulder and waved. "Have fun!"

Meanwhile In the middle of Main Street, the busiest street in Magnolia, Gajeel nudged Levy. "What was that for?" She asked in her best polite way. "Wanna... Hold hands?" He asked. She nodded, and when she took his hand, they walked together. Levy was embarrassed, not in a bad way. She just has never done this before. She couldn't even believe she was doing it in the first place! But she knew she wanted this, and they walked all around Magnolia, never letting go.

I'll never let go... She thought. I'll never let him go. Not from me.
