Chapter 2

Having locked his bike up, Alexandre walks into the highschool building, heading to the second floor to meet with his boss. But on his way, he ends up crossing paths with a duo of satans. The Scandinavian transfer student, and daughter of the headmaster of the highschool, Rias Gremory. Then the president of the student body council, Sona Sitri. Seeing that the two already see him passing by, he gives them a short wave of acknowledgement as he walks by, wanting to get to his meeting without interruptions as soon as he could.

Knocking on the office door, he steps back and waits for a reply, and once that reply comes with an “Open”, he steps in and excuses himself to the side as the current meeting ends. When the meeting ends, Alex politely bows his head as the guest leaves the room.

Gremory: “Sorry about that, Mr. Jong.” He motions to the chairs across from him, in which Alex takes a seat. “So, what do I owe the pleasure today?”

Alexandre, he leans over and talks in a lower voice: “I was wondering why the devils here do not suppress their energy, is it not a requirement?”

“It’s no requirement, due to the people of this town having been around magic so long, their sixth sense doesn’t go off, giving young devils freewill to not stress over constant restraint.” Lord Gremory uses his magic to pour two glasses of water and brings them to the desk.

Alexandre: “Thank you.- So just how many devils are here?”

Gremory: “There’s all of the student council, and then there’s the occult research club. Of course, you know the leaders of these groups, my own daughter and my niece.”

Alexandre, heating up his cup of water and leans back: “Is that so? Wish I knew that, now it’ll look like a threat once I release my limit.”

Gremory: “So long as you don’t impede their business, I see no problem with you not hiding your energy, so long as you don’t use your magic in front of normal people.”

Alex places his hand over his chest, a purple magic circle forms over his heart, around his wrists, ankles and neck. The circles shatter slowly, the energy in the room growing tense as his levels continue to skyrocket, as the final circle is about to break, the doors break open and four women with magic circles up point them into the room. Alexandre pauses the final circle and gets up.

Alexandre: “Students, please. Do you not know it’s rude to intrude on a private meeting?” Alex gives them a calm smile and drinks his cup of hot water.

Rias looks behind Alexandre, “Father? I thought you were away?” The four ladies deform their magic circles and clean their clothes from the doors debris.

Lord Gremory, stands up: “We were actually just speaking of you all, please, come in, and fix my door.”

Once the door is fixed, Alex gets out of his seat and offers it to the two heiresses’, he stands beside the desk and kneels down.

Alexandre: “It’s a pleasure to meet you two, I’m Alexandre De Jong, but my devil name is Xerxes.” He gets up from his knees and breaks the final magic circle, the force of the power forces the room to expel their devil wings, “I’m an ultimate class devil, a prince.”

Gremory: “And he is the Gremory family’s newest ally, he was in need of a job, so I pulled some strings and got him the job.”

Lord Gremory places a slip of paper on his desk, it has Xerxes’ purple magic circle on it, shaped in a double bladed scythe with fire burning around the handle.

Rias, wagging her finger between Alex’s eyes: “Isn’t he a bit, off? For an ultimate class, he can barely react to my finger.”

Alexandre, he pushes her arm to the side and yawns away from her, “It’ll take me a bit before the energy actually hits me, I’ve had my magic muffled for a near century.”
