Chapter 7

Walking out of his room, his pajamas thrown on mismatched and shirt backwards, Alexandre heads down to the kitchen for a post workout snack. While he’s eating a bowl of cereal, he gets a phone call from Lord Gremory.

“Good evening, Alexandre De Jong speaking.” He greets, still eating slowly.

Zeoticus bursts with glee, “Xerxes! My friend, how have you been enjoying your land?”

“Will anyone use my fucking alias…?” He whispers. “It has been good, Elise and I have settled in well, though it is empty.”

“Well I thought I’d have preparations for your future peerage.” Zeoticus explains. “How has little Elise been, I haven’t heard you speak of her in quite a long bit?”

“I’m thinking of upgrading her to a piece that I swore to only use once; my queen piece.” He puts his bowl in the dishwasher.

Zeoticus laughs and presumably puts ice in a glass, “Well I think that is worthy of a toast, but sadly I’m drinking for another reason.”

“I’ve heard, I was planning on watching the games, I’ll be visiting soon. I think the match between phoenix and destruction incarnate will be a spectacle. I shall see you soon, have a good day Zeoticus.” He hangs up and walks back upstairs.

Elise is still in workout attire, she’s wearing tights under flowy shorts and a t-shirt. Alex pats her back as he passes by and steps into the shower.

Rias and Riser will be having a rating game, the only issue with this matchup is that Riser’s experience holds stronger immortality, a vast pool of magic, and the family’s key of wealth. Rias is down too many pieces, has no experience, and while large her pool of magic is miniscule compared to Riser, and Lucifer can’t help her. Many support her stand against a false man like Riser, but she’ll need a blessing to win this on her own.

Alexandre walks out clean and suited in his favorite black and orange, “Elise, get dressed and clean, I have an event I need to attend.”

“Right…” She waves an arm at him, “just give me a bit, those sit ups are already making me sore.”

He smiles and sits beside her on the bed, “We’re going by carriage.”

Elise quickly gets up and jogs past Alex into the showers, leaving her head on the bed face down. She groans into the bed, Alex picks her up and puts her on the sink counter, then leaves back downstairs. It was only a few minutes when she arrived, she placed her head inside the carriage and her body prepped the horses. Alexandre steps into the carriage and sits down, placing Elise’s head on his lap. With the crackling of a whip made of spines, the horses begin in a trot.

She looks up to him, “Where are we going?”

“We’re going to the Gremory Mansion, we’ve got an invitation to watch Rias Gremory’s first rating game.”

“Who is her opponent?”

“Riser Phenex, heir of his family.” He said with venom.

“Oh… Well I wish her luck.”

“Seemingly everyone does.”

The crack of the spine whips at the horses and they speed into a gallop. Sparks fly on their hooves and flame spouts out their nostrils, a purple portal forms in the center of the gates that they go through, and once through, the gates closes and locks itself.

In a world where the lands are dumpling with small hills, and purple sky. Twenty-six districts flatten the grounds, and in the center of it all a manor is guarded by two devils at the gate. The booming of thunder shakes the ground and the gates fly open. A purple portal swirls to life in the entrance and a carriage comes through, once the carriage is full through, the gates seal shut once again.
