{Skylar's POV}
That day, July 30th, was the day that changed my life (aka my birthday). I woke up at 2 am to a loud ringing, my phone. It was Peyton, my best friend.

As soon as I answered the phone, I was greeted to a very high pitched scream. "AHHHHH!!!!!" I heard her scream as I pulled my phone away from my ear. "DUDE YOUR 16!!!" she yelled into the phone. "DUDE I KNOW!" I answered sarcastically. "Now let me go back to sleep I have swim practice in the morning." I said groggily. "Okay! See you in four hours!" she said a bit too excitedly.

"Wait, did you stay up watching Netflix again?" I asked curiously. The phone was silent. "Maybe.." she said quickly. "PEYTON JANE!" I whisper-yelled as I heard her hang up on me. Whatever, I'm going back to bed.

Swim practice was brutal, as usual. On the bright side, we got donuts. I left the pool and went into the locker room. I grabbed my towel and took my long brown hair out of the messy bun it was in. I brushed it out and put on a little bit of mascara so I didn't look like a complete freak.

I got into my car with my brothers and sister and drove them home. I went inside to be greeted by my mom, dad, Peyton (who skipped swim practice), and my brothers and sister. "Happy birthday!!" They announced in unison. "Thank you!" I replied. I hugged Peyton and my mom and dad. There was 4 presents sitting on the counter.

I opened the first one, from my little sister, Avery. It was a new swimsuit! It was a tankini, and the top was dark blue and flowery, and the shorts were coral. "Thanks, A!" I said as I hugged her. She has pretty good taste for an 8 year old.

From the twins, I got Starbucks gift cards, aka my saviors. "Thanks Jonah and Weston!" I said hugging their tiny 11 year old figures.

From my mom and dad, I got an outfit that had a white tee shirt from Aeropostale that said "play with fairies, ride a unicorn, swim with mermaids, and fly to the moon." , light short shorts, white converse, and a bright pink flower headband.

Peyton's gift was kind of unforgettable. She gave me a piece of paper. The paper said 'Digitour United 26 Tour ft. Hayes Grier'. "What is this for?" I asked confused. "Well, there's this kid named Hayes who is gonna be at the pier today and I thought you might want to come with me to see him?" She asked. "Uhh, sure!" I said because my parents were around. "Thanks, Pey, really." I said giving her a hug.

I went up to my room with Peyton and we changed into our swimsuits. I was gonna go to the Prosser pool two towns over with a couple friends.

We got into the car and drove to Prosser, which took about 20 minutes. We listened to music really loud and sang along. When we got there, we met up with my friends, Ashlynn, Lindsey, Nate, Jonathan, Grayson.
~~~
"That was fun!" Jonathan said while we were at McDonald's after we swam. "Yeah, we should do that again sometime." Ashlynn said. "Bye guys!" Peyton said as we left McDonalds. "Bye!" they all said in unison.
Peyton and I got my car and drove back to Oceanside. It was about 5. The digitour thing was at 7, so I had enough time to get ready. I showered and blow-dried my long, light brown hair. I put on a little bit of foundation and brushed my eyelashes with mascara. I put the slightest but if eyeliner on and some perfume.
I got into the car and drove to the pier, as Peyton instructed me to do. I met her there, and was greeted to her golden hair in curls, and she wore a shirt that said "I speak fluent sarcasm" and shorts.
"I still have no idea who Hayes Grier is." I said to Peyton quietly so none of these crazy fangirls would hear me. We walked towards the convention center and got in line.
After waiting for a while, we finally got close to the front of the line. We were finally inside and it was really hot. There were screaming and crying Hayes fans and retailers selling Hayes Grier merchandise.
We were three people away form the front when I finally got a look of Hayes Grier. He was gorgeous. His smile could save the world.
I got to the front of the line, eye to eye with Hayes. He hugged me, although I didn't know who he was, I hugged him back. He had soft brown hair and smelled like Hollister. He had bright blue eyes deeper than the ocean.
We made small talk while a guy on the side kept a timer going. We talked for what felt like forever when the guy started getting anxious. "Come on, Hayes, times up." he said."Bye, what's your name?" he asked me. "Skylar." I replied. He gave me one last hug and I whispered into his ear, "Don't forget me." I was shooed away by security guards as Hayes locked his eyes with mine, not paying any attention to the girl in front of him. The rest of the world drowned out and all I saw were those bright blue eyes.
Peyton and I left the convention center and went to my car. I was still star struck and Peyton could tell, too.
