I finally landed in New York and it was more beautiful than I thought.
Although I arrived early,I took half an hour to find my new school.
Unfortunately, there was no room for me because of the students that joined the school a week before my flight. One of my teacher's were kind enough to let me stay overnight at her house.

The next day ,I walked through the annoying hallways, not surprised to see all kinds of fake ,spoiled rich and wealthy kids around me.

I was literally in no mood to make friends here, everyone seemed... weird?

My morning was really bad and I kinda looked like a mess, which is probably why people kept giving me strange looks.

I walked into the principal's office and it looked more like a hotel room than a office. There was a coffee machine,a television and multiple number of video games and a table and chairs made of glass.Even the principal who was -Miss Sovereign was dressed all fancy and glam like she was attending a party with A-list celebrities. She had brown eyes, wore glasses and had her hair in a ponytail.

Seeing me ,she gave me an innocent smile like she's not to blame for the situation I was currently in.

Although I was angry at her irresponsible behaviour of just giving my room away to other students who surely paid her more ,I still tried to be polite when explaining the situation.

She told me there isn't anything she can do and I would have to book a room in a hotel nearby or find out if I had and relatives in New York.

There was a knock on the door and I turned around to see a tall boy with green eyes and black hair who looked a year older than me.

He offered me to stay with him and his family since he lived nearby until I found a after-school job and could rent an apartment.

One thing was sure:he had eavesdropped on our conversation which did not make me happy.

I didn't have much money with me since I forgot my wallet back at home and I didn't want to disturb my mom or Zach for money so I agreed and thanked him.

As we arrived at his house ,I noticed how expensive everything looked like .His house was twice as big as my house back home. His house was mainly made out of glass and there were about 5-6 robotic lawn mowers which looked far more advanced than those I used to see in stores .

New York was different.

I was allowed to stay in the guest room.It had a master bedroom and there were speakers, two touch -screen TV's,a study table,a closet which was more a room than a closet and a huge glass window with the view of their large garden .

In the evening, his parents came home and he introduced himself as Darien and his parents were Mr. and Mrs. Arison.

During the weekend,I decided to stay locked up in my room to avoid making trouble or breaking anything in their house.Since I never knew or met my dad,I wasn't going to tell my mom that the main reason I came to New York was to find my dad.Luckily for me, Darien's mom was a retired detective. Before I left for New York ,I managed to search for dad's belongings and found his old notebook where he wrote about always dreaming of living in New York and it also had some business addresses which I thought would come in handy.
