Awoken by the sun rays as they struck my eyes. After crying myself to sleep on the floor last night,I found myself lying in the hospital bed.

I didn't really feel any better.
But the pain that struck me last night lessened as well as the pain which hit my nose.
At least I had something which relieved me.
That means my nose didn't have to be broken.

How I ended up in the hospital bed didn't concern me.
I reached for a glass of water which was placed on the tiny desk beside me but it ended up falling.

My phone had been plugged on the charger and the room was spick and span(neat and clean). The blood stains were gone as well.I surely had false doubts about this hospital.
They were far too caring to be called a bad hospital.

The doctor walked in with a notebook.
"Everything alright?I heard something break."

"Yes"I nod
"I was trying to take the glass but it fell, sorry"

"Don't worry about it.I must say, you're really strong for a girl.."

"Are you underestimating me, doctor?"I asked skeptically

He chuckled,"Of course not.You see,you went through alot. From fainting to a bloody nose. You must be very thankful to that friend of yours"

"Which frien-"
But he cut me off before I could finish

"You've regained your strength and will be able to go back home today"

"I feel much better thanks to you and the care and service your hospital provided me with"I say confidently

"Our sincere apology for the incident that occured. Our security has been increased and it won't happen again."

"It's fine doctor"I said smiling as I spotted my luggage in the corner of the room.

"Who packed my luggage?"I asked confused but our conversation was interrupted by the doctor's phone call

He signaled me to give him a minute as he left the room to attend to the call.

I noticed a black shirt with a pair of blue jeans hang at the end of the bed,I stood up and picked it up.
Admiring the beautiful design it had on it.

I took the clothes and left to look for the bathroom, noticing how huge the hospital actually was.As I walked in the bathroom,I shrieked to see the size of the bathroom which was bigger than my bedroom back at home.

Locking the door behind me,I took a shower and slipped into the black shirt and blue jeans wearing a hoodie over it.
After leaving my hair in a loose bun, I walk downstairs to the receptionist.

YES.They had two floors!

Holding my luggage in my right hand while my phone was in my left hand,I gave some documents to the receptionist and walked out.

After ordering a cab,I finally arrive at Darien's house.I stood in front of their huge mansion, feeling exhausted after the long drive.

It looked like Darien had gotten his wet gadgets fixed after the water balloon fight.

A repairman stood beside him as he signed some papers and ofcourse his parents weren't at home.

Seeing him and his angelic face,I remembered Natalie's words.
Her smirk.
Her evil grin.
The secret.
The secret he kept from me .
I felt my eyes well up and shook my head.
Not something I should have thought about.
I walked upstairs with my eyes closed, fingers crossed as I kept on repeating
'Don't see me.Please don't see me . Please don't see me'
When I tripped and fell on the stairs. He immediately turned and saw me.

"Bri"he exclaimed as he ran to the stairs

But I was far ahead of him and hurried to my room, slamming the door behind me.
Tears slid down my face and I could hear him banging the door furiously,as I sat down in front of it.

"Please open the door Bri!Let's talk about this !"he shouted .

"Leave me alone already!!How much more drama will you cause for me ?"I screamed trying to sound angry but I wasn't.

"Hear me out!"he said hitting the door again

"There's nothing I have to listen to"I said covering my ears, but this time speaking with a more quiet tone

"I sent Natalie away"he said plainly

I removed my hands from my ears, trying to process what I had just heard.

Silence struck between us and I could feel him leaning against the door now.
I didn't know if I was supposed to feel relieved, excited or angry?

I scoffed,"Stop smirking.I wasn't jealous"

"Tell me that in person"he said confidently.

I could feel him smirking through the door.

I rolled my eyes,"Whatever"

"I didn't want to be with Natalie,Bri...Some few years back,my parents thought it would be a good idea to choose the perfect girl for me."

"And you let them?"I asked confused

"There wasn't anything wrong in that.Well...at least I thought so.Problem was,my parents didn't want me to end up being with someone poor or middle-class..Or whatever they call it.So they brought Natalie into my life.I never liked her but my parents had done so much for me so I couldn't refuse..."

"Okay..??But why are you telling me this ?"

He sighed heavily,"I know how difficult it is to lose someone. And I know that you didn't like me being with Natalie."

The silence struck again, just this time,it didn't last long.

"You took me to the hospital, right?"

"Yeah"he said and I just knew he would be jumping in joy that I had changed the topic.
"Byron came here"he said straight forward

"He what?"I asked in disbelief

"Yeah,but I kicked his ass"he smirked

"You know I don't like anyone using that language"I said angrily

He chuckled,"I know"
"Sorry" he said teasingly
I knew he didn't mean it.

"Was that you at the hospital?"

"Yeah,I know you went through pain coz of me.Sorry won't make that up.I know"

He was right.I couldn't forgive him no matter how sweet or sour he was. Realizing one's mistake is one thing, but apologizing is something else.

"What happened to me when that lady almost killed me ?"

I heard him inhale and exhale before speaking,"You fainted due to the lack of oxygen.I came to check up on you since you weren't answering your phone".

I sighed," You told Audrey ?"

"Yeah, I called her from your phone"

"It was me all along,Bri.
I took you to the hospital,I called Audrey,I left the note,I payed all the expenses,I saved you from that psycho,I held your hand when you regained consciousness,I ordered food for you" he paused before continuing

"Gifts, flowers, food, money,I know these things can't buy your love.Love can't be bought.I'm not trying to buy your love nor did or will I ever to make it seem that way".

"It's good you know that you won't be forgiven so easily.Thank you"

"It's no biggie"

The silence occured again and I didn't say anything for a while and neither did he .
