. . .
"Bri?"Jordan's voice brought me out of my thoughts.

After my argument with Darien,I couldn't focus on our sleepover.

Jordan had brought chips and drinks and we were playing chess but my mind was only on the argument that we had after Jimmy left.

Why did he act so uncontrollably possessive and jealous?

I only touched Jimmy's fucking shoulder and he acted like I was making out with him.

"Huh?"i asked Jordan when I couldn't recall what she had said before I was deep in thoughts.

"What are you thinking about?"

I sighed,"Nothing.Let's just continue"

I had been at Jordan's house for 20 minutes and she didn't make a second boring.I had planned to ask Darien to drop me off at her house but after the argument,I doubted that I wanted to talk to him.So we used the school bus and came to her house.

At least I had a warm welcome from Jordan's mom. They looked quite different from each other but children didn't always have to look like their parents.I guess...
I liked her mom.
Always scolding and cleaning up the mess Jordan makes. That reminded me of my mom.
I took a troll around her house after we played chess. It was a little bit similar to my house in Paris which wasn't particularly huge but medium.
There were family pictures hanging in the hallway and in her room and she looked like she had a happy family.
Or she used to.

There was one particular picture that caught my attention. It showed a picture of her mom and her dad standing together. It was black and white, just like how they had it in the olden days.

Her father looked familiar.

He looked like Zach but in a much younger form and something was just off about that particular picture.

Someone chuckled,"Looks boring,doesn't it?"

I looked beside me and to see Jordan standing there with a few magazines which I assume where fashion magazines.

I looked back at the picture and shook my head in disagreement.

"No.No it's not.It's beautiful.Things have changed"

"They weren't always happy."she stated and looked down at the magazines.

"Not always but there were happy moments"

"Yeah.I guess you could say that"she said and brushed her finger over the picture.I knew she loved her family more than anything and it wasn't easy for her to deal with her dad leaving them.

She walked off and I figured that she might be waiting for me in her room.I was headed to the room when I heard voices coming from downstairs.
I walked over to the stairs and bent forward so I could listen.

It wasn't right and I knew it.

But I was curious. What if Jordan and her mom were fighting because of me?

I had the right to know.

"Why are you lying to her??"the voice asked which I was sure was Jordan's mom speaking

She groaned,"I'll tell her. What right do you have to interfer??"

"I also live in this house and you know what you're doing is wrong.Go and tell her right now!"she demanded

"I'll tell her when I want to.You don't have to constantly remind me."

"I do.I'm still responsible for you and-"
