We paid attention to the compass and it started to go crazy when we got where Patrick died. We stopped the boat.

"Guys, what's going on?" We heard Dustin say through the walkie.

"Uh, Dustin, your compass has gone from wonky to wonky with a capital "aah!" Robin said into the walkie. She's right. It's going crazy.

Steve began to take of his shirt.

"Steve, what are you doing?" Nancy looked up and asked him.

"Somebody's gotta go down and check this out. Unless one of you three can top being a Hawkins High swim co-captain and a certified lifeguard for three years, then... It's gotta be me. No complaints, all right?" Steve said.

"Hey, I'm not complaining. I do not wanna go down there." Eddie said causing me to chuckle. He looked at me and smiled then we looked back at Steve.

Eddie grabbed a bag out of his jacket and pulled out a cigarette and put it to his lips. Robin grabbed it and chucked it in the water. "Gross" She said making me laugh again.

"Steve? Be careful." Nancy said looking up to Steve. Steve then jumped in the water.

"Where we at, Wheeler?" Eddie said to Nancy.

"Closing in on a minute." Nancy responded to him.

Steve came up out the water scaring us.

"Oh Christ!" Eddie exclaimed

"I found it." Steve said.

" You found it?" I asked.

"I found it. Yeah. I found it." Steve panted.

"Dustin, you are a goddamn Einstein. Steve found the gate..." Robin began to say into the walkie.

"It's pretty wild. It's more a snack-size gate than the mama gate, but still, it's pretty damn big." Steve said. Steve then got pulled under water. He came back up for a second. Then he was pulled under. "Steve! Steve! Steve!" We screamed.

"No! No! What the hell was that, man?" Eddie yelled

"Nancy, really, what happened?" I yelled.

"Jesus!" Eddie yelled.

I looked down into the water. I looked back for a second and I saw Eddie shake his head at me. Then I jumped in. It had to be me. They aren't prepared for what's down there.

Once I jumped in I heard the group yelling and then someone drove right into the water. Shit. I don't want them coming down here.

I swam to the bottom of the lake and saw the gate. I pushed myself through it and climbed into the Upside Down. Holy shit. I've never been here before but it reminds me of when I see Vecna and the place I'm in when I see him.

I look around and I see Steve getting attacked by a bat. I reached my hand out to get it. Before I can get it I feel something tear into my back. I immediately fall and let out a small yelp.

I begin to try to get it off and another one grabs my leg. The bat straightened out my leg and I couldn't get it off. Another one came and started to tear into my stomach.

The pain was unbearable. I let out a scream and the bats flew off of me and into the concrete. I walked over to the hurt bats and reached out my hand. I picked one up with my power and threw it onto the ground as hard as I could. It became a blob of blood and skin.

I grabbed another one with one hand and another one with my other hand and threw them into each other really hard. There was a mini explosion kind of with their bodies. I looked down at the ground and looked at their dead bloody bodies.

I turn around and see Eddie, Robin and Nancy. Why are all of them here? I don't know if they can deal with this. They should've just waited."Holy shit" Eddie and Robin said in sync.

Nancy looked to Steve."Steve!" She ran over to him and began to look at his wounds.

"Jesus Christ. Jesus H. Christ!" Eddie said and threw his oar on the ground.

I walked over to Eddie and gave him a hug. "Why are you down here?" I asked. I then pulled away from the hug. He looked at my nose. I looked up to him. "What are you looking at?" I asked confusedly.

"It's bleeding." He said and pointed to my nose. I wiped my nose and looked over to Nancy and Steve. He was torn up pretty bad.

"Are you okay?" Nancy gasped.

"Well, they took about a pound of flesh. But other than that, yeah, never better." Steve said to her. I know that pain must be awful. My would isn't bad like his but it still hurts.

" Uh, do you guys think these bats have, like, rabies?" Robin said.

"What?" I chuckled and looked over to her.

"It's just that rabies are, like, my number one greatest fear. And I think we should get you to a doctor soon because once symptoms set in, it's too late. You're already dead." She said She must really be scared of rabies.

We hear more bats chittering and look up at them. They land on the gate and block it.

"All right. There's not that many. We can take 'em. Right?" I said.

We heard more squeaks and looked up. There has to be at least like 20 or something bats there. "You were saying?"

"The woods. Come on." Nancy said running over to the woods. We all began to run over to the woods.

"Great. More running." Robin said and began to run with us.
