Chapter 23: Evil

"Calm down." Eddie whispered as he rubbed my hair.

My sobs grew quiter.

"Shh, shh, shh." Eddie shushed into my ear.

I put my hand around his arm. Not wanting him to let me go. It was peaceful. It was sweet.

The only thing he cared about was holding me and the only thing I cared about was being held.

Eleven was okay.

My father was just standing there observing.

I sat up but stayed next to Eddie.

"Who's this?" Eddie asked pointing to my dad.

"That's my dad." I said as he waved to Eddie.

"I thought you killed him." Eddie said.

"Me too." I responded. I don't know how my father is here. I don't know what I did to make that happen. Did I make him human again? Did I suck out his evil? What did I do?

If I sucked out his evil is it in me? Do I have his evil in me? Am I evil?

I can't explain what happened.

I don't think there is a explanation.

I'm just happy he is here and he's not hurting anyone.

El went to her room. Leaving the door open.

I wiped my eyes and sat all the way up. My father came and sat down next to me and Eddie.

"I will leave you to talk." I said walking away.

I walked into Els room.

She stood up.

I closed the door.

I held her down with my powers. So she couldn't move.

"El, I'm not here to argue. I'm here to apologize." I said.

"Let me go." She said.

"Accept my apology."

"I accept your apology."

"Eleven. My dad will be staying in town. This is his home." I said.

Her eyes watered.

"He's not evil. He's a good man now." I said.

"How can you know that for sure. Do you remember all the bad things he has done? All the people he was hurt. He took life's Astrin. He destroyed Hawkins." Tears fell from her eyes. "He destroyed me." She finished.

"Eleven I know, I know he's done bad things and there is no excuse for those things. But he's different now, He's changed. I took all the evil from him." I said trying to persuade her.

"How can you be sure?" Eleven asked.

I hesitated before I answered. "Because Eleven it's in me. But you see, I can control it. I don't want to take life's. I don't want to destroy people. I want to help and use this evil in me for good."

"Astrin..."

"I know, I know, it's scary."

The door opened and mine and Els head immediately turned towards the door.

Am I staring at a dead man?

How is he here?

He died.

It's Hopper. He's standing in the door way. He smiles at us and goes to give El a hug. I walk out the room. I walk outside.

Joyce is there. She's hugging Will.

When Will pulls away from the hug he immediately turns towards me. He has fear written all over his face.

But why?

"Are you okay? You look like you've seen a ghost." I asked him.

"I can still feel the evil." He said.

"Yes 001 is still alive he is inside right now." I told him.

"I don't feel the evil near him anymore. I feel it somewhere else."
