Chapter 2: These Are My Friends

"Eddie, these are my friends. You know Robin, from band." Dustin said as he proceeded to do a impression of a instrument.

I had to contain my self from laughing cause that might have been the funniest thing I've seen all day

"This is my friend Max. The one who never wants to play DND... And as you know already this is Astrin. We don't want to hurt you."

Eddie still seemed like he didn't trust us. I don't know if he will.

"Eddie... we are on your side. I swear on my mother. Right guys ?" Dustin asked as he looked at us.

"Yes. Yes. We swear."

"On Dustin's mother."

"Yeah, Dustins... Dustin's mother..."

"Eddie we kinda need you to talk to us here" I said almost sounding mad.

"Jesus Ch-"

"Eddie... We just want to talk" Dustin is still trying to get him to trust us.

"Okay?" Eddie said. This shit is actually making me a bit mad.

"We want to know what happened." I said looking into Eddies eyes.

"You won't believe me..." Eddie sniffles.

"Try us." I laugh. Looking at the group.

He started to explain what happened. It was awful. We all sat and listened. We were all so invested into the story.

"Her body just, like, lifted up into the air and uh... and she just like hung there. In the air. and her bones... Uh she-" he was cut off for a second by his whimpers. "Her bones started to snap. Her eyes, man. It...it was like there was something, like, inside her head, pulling."

This poor boy. He should not have had to witness that. That image will always be in his head now just because the mind flayer decided to do that.

" I ... I didn't know what to do, so I... I ran away. I left her there." He said. "You all think i'm crazy, right?" he scoffed.

"No. We don't think your crazy." Dustin reassured him.

"Don't bullshit me, man! I know how this sounds" Eddie yells. I feel so bad for him he didn't deserve what happened.

"Eddie..." I sat down next to him. "I believe you..."

"We believe you" Dustin says. "Look, what i'm about to tell you might be a little...difficult to take."

"okay." Eddie says.

"You know how people say Hawkins is... Cursed ?"

Eddie looked around and nodded.

"Well they aren't way off. There's another world. A world hidden beneath Hawkins. Sometimes it bleeds into ours." Dustin tells Eddie

"Like ghosts and shit?" Eddie questions looking confused.

"There are some things worse than ghost." I say laughing a bit.

"These monsters from this other world... we thought they were gone... but they've come back before. That's why we needed to find you." Dustin finishes.

" If they are back we need to know" I say to Eddie. Eddie looks at me. He has fear in his eyes.

"That night, did you see anything?" Robin asks

"Dark particles maybe" Max says. "It would look like dust, swirling dust."

"No man, there was nothing you could see, or touch." Eddie responds. " You know I tried to wake her, man. She couldn't move. It was like she... she was in a trance or something."

"or under a spell"

"Vecnas Curse"

"Who's Vecna?" I ask confused.

"A undead creature of great power."

"A Spell caster"

"A dark wizard."

Great. I'm going against a wizard. El had it so easy. First a demogorgan. Then a gate. Then a monster and she didn't even kill it. Me on the other hand who has never fought anything before is just thrown into this. Truth be told I'm scared.

I went through and edited this a bit. I realised how different the writing was from my newer chapters and I wanted the styles to match.
