"Eddie." Paxton called out.
"Brent." Treat said.
"Trevor."
"Alex."
That left only Carly, Lily, and Haley.
To say Carly was surprised to see her ex-best friend here, would be the biggest understatement of the world. And what's worse? Haley was being a little too flirty with a guy who has a girlfriend.
That was always Haley's problem. She acted innocent. She acted like she could do no harm. But look at her right now. She was being a snake.
And Carly did not like snakes.
And it didn't help Carly was feeling annoyed. What was supposed to be a nice Valentine's Day date with her boyfriend yesterday turned into him canceling last minute. So the girl was stuck at home eating her mom's homemade Pho, by herself. Her parents were out being cute while she stuffed her face while watching Legally Blonde.
"Haley." Paxton said causing the girl to scoff.
Of course. He always chose her over Carly. There was no surprises there.
"Carly."
"Lily."
Trent's team was short 1 person which meant if the first person who died on his team, they can come back. The girl glared at Paxton and Haley acting a little too close for comfort.
Hell Carly wasn't even the boy's girlfriend but she was jealous for Devi. speaking of Devi where was she?
"Hey guys."
Speak of the devil.
"Welcome to the squad, Crazy Devi." Trent said, handing the girl a yellow strap. "Okay I've given it some thought, and here's our strategy. If you see someone on the other team, shoot paintballs at them, and then the second part of the strategy is don't let them shoot paintballs that hit you."
"Thanks little C." The boy winked at her. "Oh and be careful cause Haley's a sick shot."
Devi scoffed. "How good could she be?"
They all watched the girl shoot a pumpkin head off.
"Jesus." Devi said, surprised.
Carly rolled her eyes. She can do better.
"Yeah she and Paxton are gonna smoke us. Which is a good thing we have you little C. She will smoke all of them. Which reminds me I'm gonna get high before we do this." Trent said, walking away to take a smoke.
Carly chuckled at her friend before seeing Devi stare at her boyfriend. She could tell the girl was jealous. Who wouldn't be?
"Sucks doesn't it?" Carly said, putting on her goggles.
"What?" Devi asked.
"Haley was always a bitch."
"You know her?"
Carly chuckled bitterly. "Yup. We used to be friends. All 3 of us actually. Shit happens."
"What happened?" Devi really wanted to know.
"Lets just say you gotta watch your back with her. She never knew her boundaries when it came to taken guys."
Before Devi could say something, they all heard Paxton yell, "Let's fucking go."
