"Well that didn't go well." Eddie chuckled, standing next to his cousin.

"You heard?" Carly wasn't surprised. Her cousin always had a knack of eavesdropping in other people's conversations.

Eddie nodded. "Yeah."

"I didn't think he'd be so upset about it."

Eddie chuckled. "Of course he'd be upset about it."

"What?"

"If there's anything I learned about me and Lily is that I'm shit about long distance. I'm clingy as fuck. And I guess I thought I needed her around me 24/7 because that's what we've done since sophomore year."

"Ok and what does that have to do with Paxton?"

"You foolish cousin." Eddie chuckled. "I'm a guy. He's a guy. Put two and two together. He's obviously sad about the whole long distance thing. Especially since now you guys are back together, he just got you and he doesn't want to lose you again."

"That can't be true?"

"Take it from me, long distance isn't something a dude can adjust to. Especially since we both know how bad with change Paxton is." Eddie explained.

Carly sighed. "But that doesn't change my mind of where I want to go."

"I know. He'll soon realize that like I did with Lily."

"Did you guys make up already?"

Eddie nodded. "We did. We'll see where our future takes us, but as of now, we'll just enjoy the present."

"Damn that's mature of you."

"I can be mature sometimes." Eddie puffed out his chest.

Carly rolled her eyes. "Says the guy who still gets the kids menu at CPK."

Eddie shoved the girl's shoulder. "Shut up."
