"Hey Carls! Good game." Paxton smiled. Once he saw her clear of her cousin and best friend, he knew it was now or never.
He needed to know what she thought about the kiss.
Did she regret it?
Did she like it?
Did she want to do it again?
One thing's for sure he did not regret it, he loved it, and he would want to do it again and again and again.
"Thanks Paxton." Carly smiled at the boy. Surely this was just all they were gonna say right? No wrong.
"Can we uh talk?"
Carly gulped. Shit. "About what?"
Paxton sighed and looked at the girl. "You know what."
"Do we have too?"
Paxton nodded. "Yes we do Carls. I need to know where we stand now."
"Why? If I say I regret it, you'll move on to another girl?" Carly didn't mean to make that come out passive aggressively. But she was tired. Tonight was a close game. Without her walkoff single, they would have lost. All she wanted to do was go home and take a nice warm bubble bath.
"No. Why would you think that?" Paxton was getting upset. Is that how she saw him as?
Carly shrugged. "It happened before."
He deserved that. He knew he wasn't the best boyfriend when they dated, but he's changing. He wants to be better. "I know. And I'm sorry about what happened when we dated.
