"You guys are the best!" Trent smiled from the back seat. He was a little confused as why both Paxton and Carly showed up when he only called Paxton. But he didn't care.
"You owe me boba." Carly pointed out from the passenger seat. The girl was surprised she was even sitting up front. Normally, even when they dated back then, she would always be stuck in the back seat and Trent in the passenger seat. So this was new.
"You're seriously obsessed with boba." Paxton chuckled, looking at the girl momentarily then back to the road.
"Yo bro. Don't disrespect boba like that. It's delicious and convenient." Trent said.
"Thank you Trent." Carly said high fiving the boy. "Paxton's just upset because he's lactose intolerant."
"Wow you are?" Trent's eyes widened as he stared at his best friend.
"Can we not talk about this?" Paxton said.
"Nothing to be ashamed of bro. I'm allergic to almonds but I still get almond butter on my acai bowls." Carly snorted when she heard the boy say that. Oh just Trent things.
"And we're here." Paxton said, parking his car, cutting his engine, and getting out. The girl was only able to unfasten her seatbelt before her door flew open. "My lady."
Carly smiled. "Why thank you handsome."
"Hey what about my door!" Trent complained.
"Sorry dude."
Trent groaned and opened his door. "Can't believe I lost Paxton to little C."
The 3 of them walked up to Devi's house and opened the door which was surprisingly opened.
"Hey." Paxton said, walking in.
"Paxton?" Devi asked. "And Carly?"
"What's up everyone."
"And Trent." Trent said, sliding in. "Paxton and little C came to my rescue."
What the girl didn't expect was to see her ex boyfriend there in a not so pretty pink hoodie. But hey the dude was cute, he'll look good in anything.
