Luigi and Co. hurried back to the Lab with all the paintings of their loved ones in them. Now they were back in front of the Ghost Portificationizer.

"This will mess with your head, friends:" E. Gadd said, "All your hard work lasted only a single night!"

"Really?" Luigi asked in disbelief.

"Yeah, I mean. It felt like what? Weeks, months in there?" Anna added.

"Well, whatever the case. The mansion those Boos built disappeared into the night," E. Gadd noted, "But that treasure seems to be real. I have no interest in such stuff, but if none of you want it, I'm sure I can put it to good use."

"Thanks, Professor. That's very kind of you," Blue said.

"My pleasure. Now, enough prattle, we'd better get everyone out of those paintings."

"Wait, Professor," Marshall said, "What about King Boo and the ghosts we caught?"

"Oh yes. We should take care of those last ghosts first!"

The quartet put all the ghosts on the Ghost Portificationizer and got them in paintings.

"I'd wager dollars to donuts that nobody but me has such lovely paintings!" E. Gadd said bubbly, "Thank you all for getting my ghost portrait collection back!"

"Don't mention it, Professor!" Luigi said.

Without wasting another minute, E. Gadd got all the captives out of the paintings. He first started with Everest. She popped out of the machine with a solid landing.

"What happened?" she said before looking at the group, shocked to see who was there.

"Is... is it really you, Marshall?"

"Everest!" Marshall and Everest ran to each other happy to be reunited.

Next came Steve, who almost missed the landing out of the painting. Blue was ecstatic to see her owner again she gave him licks on the face.

"Blue! I'm so glad you saved me!" Steve said.

"It wasn't just me, Steve," Blue said, "I had a lot of help from Luigi, Anna, and Marshall."

Elsa was next to be free and she and Anna embraced each other in a hug.

"I thought I lost you!" Anna said on the verge of tears.

"Lost me? You and your friends saved me," Elsa then turned to Luigi.

"It's great to see you again, Luigi," she said.

"Likewise, Elsa," Luigi replied, "Now all is left is Mario,"

Mario was the last one freed. But he took a little longer than the rest. To their surprise, Mario shot out of the Ghost Portificationizer with the vent part suck to his head. Luigi and his friends couldn't help but laugh. Especially considering all the horror they faced before.

After that, E. Gadd told them to keep their devices so that they could call each other. Luigi and Mario walked back to the Mushroom Kingdom, but not before saying goodbye to his friends.

"I'm very proud of you, bro," Mario said.

"Mario, you have no idea how worried I was," Luigi said, "While I had some new friends with me. I was still scared."

"But the important thing was that you faced your fears in the end."

Mario and Luigi shared a laugh and saw the sky turning sunny. This was a nice feeling now that the haunted mansion was gone.
