When we entered the kitchen I opened up the fridge. I quickly found out we had not gone grocery shopping before my dad went away. I had a credit card for things like this that he paid off, so I figured I could always shop some time this week. I turned and saw Hunter going through the cabinets.
"Cereal?" he asked. I shook my head.
"We could go to the store and actually shop for groceries, or I could call and order a pizza."
"Pizza," Hunter answered and I smiled.
"Got it," I pulled my phone from my pocket and sat on the counter. I had already gotten to know the stoner boy who often worked every night at the pizza place. He was chill and helped me find a dealer out here.
"Bobbys pizza, this is Josh." he answered the phone.
"Hey it's Kelso," I started before looking at Hunter. "What you want?"
"Just pepperoni," he whispered.
"Large pepperoni and a side of garlic and parmesan breadsticks," I ordered.
"Anything else tonight man?" he asked.
"How about a two liter of root beer," I added.
"Got it, I'll be out there no less than thirty minutes, cash or card?"
"Cash."
"Cool, it'll be twenty two dollars, see you soon."
"Thanks, see you then," I replied before hanging up. I then looked over at Hunter. "Be here soon," I told him before smiling.
"Awesome, what do we do while we wait?" I asked as I hopped off the counter.
"Not sure, not my house," he shrugged.
"Might as well be," I chuckled a bit as I went back to the living room where the music was still playing. I sat on the couch and he sat across from me on it.
"Let me ask something," Hunter changed the topic.
"Sure."
"You really remember nothing after we left for the van? Not even getting there?" he asked and I felt my face heat up.
"Yeah," I replied.
"Not even me tucking you in?" he teased me and I shook my head.
"Nope, nothing."
"Oh, well, I think you're pretty too."
