I was hearing some giggling and someone attempting to quietly stifle a laugh.
I slowly opened my eyes, the room was bright so it was clearly morning.
"Morning sleeping beauties."I recognized the voice to be Mike.
"Mike, what do you want?"I mumbled, trying to adjust myself and snuggle back into sleep
"For you to make us your french toast."He said.
I opened my eyes, "Are you serious, have Adam make you some."I said, closing my eyes again.
"See he would've but Yauch's with you."Adrock's voice chimed in.
I slowly opened my eyes again, "What do you mean?"I asked confused seeing Adrock now next to Mike.
"Yauch's with you. He won't leave, we've already tried to get him to make us food."Adrock said, gesturing to behind me..
I gave him a confused look, "What do you mean he won't leave?"I turned my head, seeing a sleeping Adam directly next to me. I let out a small laugh,
"Adam, get up."I said, still looking at him but getting no reaction.
"Adam, hey, wake up."I said, turning over to now face him.
There still wasn't any reaction,
"Jesus Adam are you breathing?"I asked, shaking him a bit.
I got a groan out of him, I felt myself relax. Why was I tensed up there?
"C'mon get up."I said, shaking him a bit more.
"Mmm, not right now."He mumbled.
"Adam, it's time to get up."I said.
"Why, just go back to bed."He mumbled, pulling me close to him again.
I laughed, "Adam, c'mon. You can't sleep all day."
"Yeah you're in my house."Adrock's voice chimed in, I turned to him.
"You're still in here? Go get the stuff started I'll be down in a minute, you damn vultures."I said, shooing Adrock and Mike away.
I turned back to Adam, he still had his eyes closed.
"C'mon Adam, you're being a pain to get up today."I said, shaking him.
"Mmm just stay here."He said.
I sighed, trying to get out of the bed but was pulled back by him.
I laughed, "Adam, c'mon. Get up for the day."I turned to him, partially sitting up.
His eyes were slightly opened, "Just stay with me for a bit longer."
I felt my cheeks heat up, "The guys want breakfast, c'mon."I said, now getting up from the bed.
"They can cook for themselves why do they need us."He said, propping himself up on his elbow.
I shrugged, "They want the french toast, last time Mike tried to do it he nearly burnt a hole in the pan. Besides we can't sleep all day, it's Adrock's place."
He sighed, "Fine, they need to learn to cook without burning everything." He said, standing up.
I had forgotten he was only sleeping in his boxers, I turned away and made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth.
Once done, I made my way back out into the room. Adam had put on a pair of sweatpants but still didn't have a shirt. He heard me come out and turned to me, giving me a smile.
"What?"I asked, confused as to why he was smiling as I put my toothbrush and toothpaste away in my bag.
"That's where my shirt went."He laughed.
I looked down, forgetting he gave me his shirt last night.
"Oh yeah, I can give you it back-"
"No, it's fine it looks good on you."He said.
"You sure?"I asked.
He nodded, "Yeah, I've got another just forgot where that one went."
I laughed, "I'll meet you downstairs I have to get the children's breakfast started."
He laughed as I left.
I made my way into the kitchen, getting the french toast started.
"So, you and Yauch do anything interesting last night?"Adrock appeared beside me.
I glanced to him, "Yeah we slept."
"Nothing of more excitement?"Mike chimed in from my other side.
I sighed, "Not you too. No, I don't get why you guys are thinking that."
"Maybe because you're wearing his shirt?"Adrock said, pulling at the shirt.
"I forgot to pack another shirt, he said I could wear it last night."I said, placing the first piece of the bread in the pan.
"Hmm, well what about that little snuggle puddle?"Mike teased.
I looked to him, "Snuggle puddle? What're you 5?"
He shrugged, "You didn't answer my question."
"Mornin Yauch."Adrock interrupted.
I turned back, Adam still hadn't put a shirt on, I immediately turned back as I felt my cheeks heat up. What was all this shit?
"Mornin, where'd the girls go?"Adam asked.
"They left about an hour ago, how was your night?"Mike asked, I glanced to him.
"Great, that show was great and the club was fun too."Adam said.
I had just finished the first piece of the french toast,
"First piece is done."I said, putting another piece in the pan.
Mike and Adrock began to fight over it, until I had finished the second piece.
"You guys are such children, go eat your french toast and stop bitching to each other."I laughed.
They went and sat in the living room still somewhat bickering.
"How's it going?"Adam asked, coming beside me.
"Good, how many do you want?"I asked, glancing to him as I put two more pieces in the pan.
"Just 2, thank you."He smiled.
"Of course."I smiled, flipping the bread.
I finished the two pieces, putting them on a plate then put two more in the pan.
"Do you want any help?"He asked.
"I think I'm good, thanks though. Maybe see if they want those two."I said, flipping the bread.
He nodded, taking the plate and going to the living room.
Sometimes I couldn't believe the things I did for these boys.Later on we all went out separate ways, well besides Adam and I as we lived next to each other.
It was Saturday, which meant Mom would be doing another double so I'd be by myself for the day yet again.
I had just gotten out of the shower to feel better from last night, when gathering my laundry I realized I had taken Adam's shirt home with me.
I immediately started a load, tossing in any dirty laundry including his shirt and made a mental note to make sure to give it back to him.
A knock at the front door made me shut the washer and head over to whoever was there,
I opened the door to reveal Adam leaning against the doorframe.
"Long time no see."I laughed, getting a smile out of him.
"I was getting bored-"
"You just got back like 4 hours ago after a night out, how're you bored?"I laughed, stepping aside to let him in.
"I just do."He said, shutting the door behind him.
"So what have you come to tempt me with this time?"I asked, returning back to the laundry room as I was putting the previous load from the washer into the dryer.
"Well, I've got a spliff if you're interested, well more like a few."
I stood up, he leant against the wall of the laundry room, flashing a smile.
"You know me well enough to know my answer, where're you thinkin?"I asked, tossing in a few dryer sheets then shutting the lid and hitting start on the dryer then turning to him.
"The usual spot, nothin crazy. It is a beautiful day out to sit outside and listen to some tunes."He smiled.
I nodded, "My box or yours?" I asked, moving past him as I went to my room and shoved on my adidas shoes.
"I've got somethin I wanna show ya, let me grab my box."He said, jogging out the door.
I gathered the small backpack and put my perfume, lighter, pipe, and whatever other essentials I thought I may need to stumble upon and closed the bag swinging it behind my back.
I skimmed through my desk drawers, finding my stash of rolling papers I had shoved in, tossing a few into the side pockets of the bag.
"You set?"Adam's voice interrupted my thoughts, I took one last glance around my room and nodded.
"Off to see the wonderful wizard of oz."I smiled, hooking arms with Adam as we headed out the apartment doors. The sun was slowly setting around us as we sat on the usual rooftop where we would smoke our weed, the high altitude wafting away the smoke we exhaled.
Adam's box played behind us at a volume where we could still talk to each other without having to raise our voices.
As Adam passed me the joint he had freshly smoked off of, he jumped up and brought the box to him causing me to let out a little laugh to his reaction.
"What?"I laughed, puffing off the joint.
"I forgot about the tape I wanted to show you, I'm putting it in now."He said, stopping the current tape, then grabbing a tape from his pocket and putting it in as he hit play then put the box back in its original position.
I passed him the joint as he did this, he puffed off it also.
The first song on the tape began, I recognized it
