The next day I woke up in a wonderful mood. I got dressed and went to find Gandalf. I figured he was probably in the court yard so that's where I went.

"He's a damn fool!" I saw Gandalf storming out of the kingdom with Pippin. Pippin had become the Stewards assistant. Poor guy.

"What's wrong Gandalf?" I asked while following him closely.

"That blasted Steward! He sending his own son to his death! Faramir and his men will not make it. They will surely fall."

"What? What do you mean? What's he sending them to do?" I was so scared now. I didn't know what to do. I had to go with them.

" He's sending them back to battle in Osgilath. To take it back, but they will only fall."

"No they can't go! They'll die! We have to stop this!"

"Helena, we cannot stop his decision. It is final. He wants Faramir to perish just as Boromir did."

Just then we heard them coming out from the kingdom. Faramir and all that was left of his men came out atop their horses with their armor and their shields and weapons. I quickly ran up to Faramir.

"Pleases don't go, you don't have to do this!" I pleaded with him.

"Yes I do, I must do this." His expression was blank and he kept his face straightforward not looking at me.

"Then let me go with you, I-"

"No!" He bellowed, and turned to face me. "I will not let you sacrifice yourself for this nonsense. You mean too much to me now." He said as he smiled and tucked my hair behind my ear. I smiled and touched his hand with mine. I snuggled my face further into his hand and kissed it. It was an involuntary motion of my body that I could not control. His hand was rough unlike any hands I've felt. This must be how a mortal man's hands are supposed to feel. I've only felt elven men's hands. I loved the feeling of his though.

He came down from his horse and pulled me to him. He looked into my eyes and I felt them well up. What was wrong with me? I had to stop this. I hugged him and then pulled away.

"Good luck Faramir." I quickly turned away and began walking down the steps. I couldn't get attached, expecially to a man. I have to marry an elven prince. Which meant that I'd probably end up with Legolas because my father and his will arrange it.

I heard Gandalf riding behind me as I descended the steps. "What's wrong with you, girl? Don't you see that man loves you!" Gandalf yelled at me.

"Gandalf you know that it can never happen. I can't let my heart get me into trouble as it has before. He is mortal and I am not Arwen."

"Is that what this is all about? You're afraid to be like your sister? You're more a fool than I thought. " Gandalf then walked away before I could say anything else. Just then I saw Faramir and his men coming down the steps, Gandalf ran up to Faramir and tried talking him out of it; he wouldn't budge. Faramir kept going and didn't even glance my way as he left. I was afraid now that he would be gone forever and I couldn't do anything about it. I was overwhelmed with emotions at this point. Emotions that I'd never felt before. I looked over to Gandalf for answers and only looked at me with sympathy and shook his head. What had I done?

I paced back and forth impatiently. I was scared to death that he would die or worse. All of a sudden the gates opened to reveal Faramir begin dragged in by his horse. He was dead. At that point I took off in a dead sprint to him. I was running as fast as my legs would allow and yet I felt like I was moving in slow motion. When I finally reached him, I knelt down beside him and held his head in my lap as I wept. I ruined everyone's lives that I touched. Why? Was I cursed at birth? Gandalf came over with two men and they picked him up and put him over his horse. "I love you, Faramir." I whispered as they took him away from me again.

I didn't sleep that night. I only thought about Faramir. He died before I could even tell him how I truly felt. I was too stubborn to do so and now I would spend the rest of eternity regretting it. Suddenly I heard war horns. I ran to the top of the kingdom and saw an army coming for us. Gandalf was right, they would come. Everyone who was able to fight was ready, including me and Gandalf. We started at one of the lower levels of the kingdom. Everyone began to scream when they saw them launch the catapults. They were throwing the heads of Faramir's fallen men! These guys were truly ruthless. I was shooting arrows down at them and I hit a few. I was ready to avenge Faramir's death.

Hours into the battle, I was bruised and bloody. I had been hit a few times, but I was ok. The enemy had got in and we were outnumbered. In the middle of the battle, I heard Pippin, calling out for Gandalf. Was this hobbit suicidal? He was excitedly telling him something. I tuned in for just a moment and only heard the words Faramir is alive before I was stabbed with a sword impaled deep within my back. Suddenly the world around me grew dark as I collapsed to the ground. Was this the end?

Well sorry for the short chapter. I know it was kind of shitty, so I apologize but I hope you enjoyed it anyways.
