After two nights pursuit, my leg was fully healed and Legolas no longer had to carry me on his back. He could still run fast even with me on his back, he never complained though, not once.
"Aragorn, do you really think it was a good idea to let the hobbits go to Mordor alone? One of us should have gone with them." I said.
"They will do fine on their own." He simply stated.
"I joined this journey to protect the ring bearer, that is my only concern." I said sternly.
"Then go after them, Helena, and we will save the other two. We cannot make you stay. Do as you wish." He replied.
"I will protect them from harm and then I shall find you. I will not fail." With that I turned back, running at full speed.
I knew I would find them, they did not move fast at all. I had a pretty good idea which way they were going. I hated leaving the others, but my only job was to protect Frodo and that is what I planned to do. Legolas looked upset that I was leaving, though I did not know why.
Three nights pursuit and I could smell them close along with a foul smell mixed along with it. I could also smell rabbit being cooked, it stunk horribly. I crept through the trees quietly and I saw them with an ugly little creature. I listened for a moment.
"Ahh what's it doing? Stupid fat Hobbit! It ruins it!" The creature said.
"What's to ruin? There's hardly any meat on them."
"Hello boys." I said, coming out of the trees, hands on hips.
"P-princess Helena! What are you doing here!" Sam stuttered.
"My job is to protect you morons and that is what I plan on doing." I replied.
"Helena, we appreciate that, but this is my burden to bear." Frodo responded.
"Don't be selfish, Hobbit. It's all of our burden as long as we are alive and it exists."
"So you will protect us on this journey?"
"Yes, I will as long as I still draw breath."
"Then you are welcome in our company."
We sat there and ate the meal that Sam cooked, that was actually rather tasty. I didn't normally eat meat, but this time I had made an exception. After our meal, we heard loud noises, so we decided to investigate. We his behind the bushes watching large elephants with men guiding them. An army heading to war, heading to Mordor. Ready to destroy the world. Out of nowhere, arrows were shot at some of the beasts and I decided that was when we needed to make our leave. We were not quick enough though, I was so distracted by the commotion, I didn't even sense anyone walking up on us.
"Let me go you scum!" I yelled. The two hobbits and I were captured, bags were put over our heads to we could not see our whereabouts.
I had a bad feeling about this....
