This chapter is Ithilwen's Point of View.
I stood outside with Prince Legolas for a long time. We stared out into Mordor. It was dark and fiery and there looked as if there was just a constant lightening storm.
"So you're the man who my mother has been promised to when your father is ready for you to marry her." I said. It was more a statement than a question.
"Yes. That is correct. I believe your mother's heart belongs to someone else though." He looked over, as did I to the sight of Faramir holding mother.
"Since when did it matter who your heart belongs to? I was always told you have to marry who your father chooses for you. I won't have that chance, because my father died in battle."
"Yes, I fought by his side. I'm deeply sorry for your loss." He said, looking at me sincerely. "I know we are supposed to marry who our fathers choose for us, but I don't want her to marry me if it would make her unhappy. She deserves to be happy again." He smiled at me, and I think for a moment I began to fall in love with this man.
"You're a good man, Prince Legolas." I smiled at him.
"Just Legolas is fine."
"Ok, Just Legolas." I laughed.
"You're a silly girl. Walk with me, this scenery is becoming dull." With that we went arm in arm and began to walk. we must have talked for hours. We talked about anything and everything. It was an amazing experience.
"You know so much and have done so much, Legolas. I hope that someday I can travel as you have and see the world. It sounds wonderful."
"Perhaps, when this war is over, if we survive, I will take you on a journey to see the world." He smiled and turned to me. He was at least a foot taller than me. At that moment, he leaned in and kissed me. That was the first kiss I had ever received. It was so wonderful and magical. I felt like butterflies were in my stomach.
"What's going on here?" Oh no.
I know this is a short chapter, and I apologize. It has been a long time since I have updated this story, so I wanted to get this chapter done and put out there. I will try to update again soon.
