(A/N: Tell me if I made grammer or spelling mistakes.)

Carol looked back at him and smiled before Maria got their attention by asking, "Where is it?" Ghost was wondering the same thing. At that moment, they were just staring into the endless nothingness of space. Nick and Talos unbuckled which he took as his cue to do the same.

Once all three of them got to the front Talos seemed like he was panicking. He had other stakes than finding another planet. He wouldn't be surprised to learn that Talos had a family. Talos said, "It's here. It's gotta be here." Definitely panicking. Nick asks while holding Goose, "Well, is it in front of all that nothing, or behind it?"

Ghost looks closely and sees a very slight shimmer. "It might be cloaked." He looked at Carol. "Can you decloak it?" She nodded. Carol then raises her arm up before hitting a few buttons.

After a small few seconds a voice comes through the vambrace, "Decloaking activated." Ghost pumps his fist. He got it right!

They watched as the cloaking deactivated and for someone like him who experimented and worked with a lot of technology for a living, it was beautiful. Maybe he could incorporate some of that tech into his suit or the mask? Like he could cloak his mask incase he needed to get a disguise quickly and still keep his HUD when he upgrades Caity? He didn't know yet.

But he was getting cloaking tech.

It was huge and kinda mind blowing. It was a actual ship specifically designed to travel through space. "Today is one of the best days of my life, hands down." Ghost remarked. Carol looked at him and smiled. He was like a puppy when it came to excitable things. Carol flew forward and into the lab with all of them in silence. Once they got in Talos rushed forward, leading the group. He stopped and picked up a baseball before continuing forward. Goose was following. Ghost broke the silence while walking down a hallway by saying, "When I woke up yesterday, I had a simple plan. Wake up, yell at the director, vent to Nick, finish the work day, go home, work on getting my degree then go to bed. But now, I am currently in space with an alien, a human with superpowers, my boss, a witness, and a fucking cat walking down a hallway that could be the setting for a jumpscare in a cheap horror movie." Carol snorted while Nick gave him a look.

Maria looked at Nick before asking, "Does he always do this?" Nick thought for a minute.

"Make jokes, make references, complain or be annoying?"

Maria answered, "All four."

Nick nodded. "Yes. Every day." Maria nodded, satisfied.

They then all walked into a room with a ominous blue glow. Goose ran to it before jumping on something and sniffing it. Ghost walked up to the cat before petting her. Carol walked up to him.

Maria stopped behind them and asked, "Is that it? The core?" Ghost shook his head.

"No. The core and this are entirely different. This powered the core, yes, but it is not the core." Ghost said.

Ghost reached for it before grabbing it as Carol told everyone, "In her notes she called it the Tesseract." Ghost got his hands on it and pulled it out, his eyes going wide as he received a shock. In his eyes and mind he saw things. He saw a portal opening, he saw it powering a machine, he saw it being crushed, he saw-

He was torn away from it when Carol took it from his hands. His previously glassy eyes cleared and he shook his head to clear his head of the images. Carol looked at him.

"Are you alright?" She asked. He simply pinched the bridge of his nose while groaning and nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just zoned out for a small second." He was fully aware that he was lying. He was also fully aware that whatever he just saw was because the Tesseract showed it to him. What did they mean though? He had no idea. He would figure that out later.
