They had walked to a building out back as Ghost tracked the movements of the Skrulls. As everyone else headed inside, Maria forced Monica to sit on a bench outside. Understandable. He wouldn't let any of his kids get anywhere near any of this either. If he had any, that is.

"Monica." Maria told her daughter in warning. The child, well, being a child immediately asked a question about why.

"Why can't I listen too?" Monica asked. Her mom just told her to be quiet which she pouted about. The whole thing was about Monica putting headphones on so she wouldn't hear any of this. Maria won. Maria walked in and during her way to the computer Talos handed her a disk that she placed in the disk slot of the computer Vers was standing next to. Ghost was in the corner watching everyone. He was paranoid, okay? He learned after the incident at the hide-out.

Ghost steadily walked closer to them as it loaded, managing to get behind Vers silently. She looked around at everyone before asking, "What's happening?"

Ghost leaned in a little too close to her ear before saying, "It's loading the disk." Vers whirled around and swung but he batted her fist away. He laughed as he said, "That was so worth it!"

She looked at him incredulously before saying, "It was worth almost getting punched?" He laughed as he nodded furiously. She was going to say something else before it loaded and they heard Lawson start speaking.

"Punch in the coordinates 5-2-2-9, negative 4-7, 8.7-6-8, 0.2." Lawson said over the speaker.

Vers actually came next. "Copy that. Where are we going, Doc?"

Lawson now. "My laboratory."

Vers was next although she sounded confused, "Your laboratory? What do you mean?"

Lawson then said the dreaded words that Ghost lived by ever since he started calling himself Ghost, "Oh, no."

Vers came next, processing what she was seeing maybe? "Is that... Wait, what is that? It's not showing up on my radar." Ghost looked over at Vers only to see her basically catatonic. She was listening to the information, yes. But she was regaining her memories. This exact same thing happened when he showed her the picture.

Lawson sounded scared now. But why? "Go, Carol. Fly!"

Something that sounded like a laser or blaster bolt from Star Wars whizzed past the jet? But Earth jets don't have that kind of- Oh! It's alien. They were shot down by aliens.

Vers spoke, "That's no MiG, Lawson. Who the hell are they?" At that point the lasers were in steady supply.

Lawson spoke again, "Those are the bad guys. Fly faster now!"

Vers spoke again, "Yes, ma'am." After a few seconds of silence from them and blaster bolts Vers asked, "What do they want?"

Lawson answered her, "Me. My work. I never should have brought you along." No shit.

After another few seconds of silence from them, probably more maneuvers, Vers spoke again. "Here come some G's."

Some complete silence, some fiddling on the audio, then some muffled shooting gave Ghost an idea of what happened. They went up before coming down behind the enemy where they started firing. Some more silence before frantic beeping. Probably a missile.

Vers spoke out of nowhere, "They're firing backwards. Hold on!" Firing backwards? What the fuck? That's new. Some more noise/silence before a loud noise goes off right next to the box. They got hit. After frantic noise from Vers and a lot of wind rushing past the plane, Vers gave some frantic directions, "Bail out! Bail out! Bail out!" A sound but nothing signifying the ejector seat worked. But the wind was prominent. She had some windburn from hell for sure. Not the time. A few seconds later and Vers spoke again, "Stay with me, Lawson!"
