A new mall was built in Hawkins, the Starcourt mall. Steve Harrington, Nancy Wheeler's ex-boyfriend, Dustin Henderson's best friend and the kid's 'babysitter', got a job at one of the shops, Scoops Ahoy, an ice-cream shop. From the back alleys you could get to other shops, and even the cinema, obviously the kids would use the knowledge to sneak into the cinema. Max, Lucas, Mike and Will would go on, as Max would say, double dates, even though Mike would disagree everytime, and Max would still do that just to get a reaction from him, Will gave up convincing her after first few times. They would always bring their food and sat in one of the cinema rooms to watch whatever was on. After Mike and Will, sometimes Max too would go visit El and tell her about the movie, El would feel bad she can't go as well. Dustin was at a summer camp. The party wanted to surprise him when he gets back, and they managed, but it kind of threw back at them and Lucas got sprayed with hairspray. Dustin convinced the party to go build a satelite he called cerebro, so he could call his girlfriend, neither Lucas, Max or Mike though was real.

The party spent hours and hours on the hill with just Dustin saying "Suzie, this is Dustin. Do you copy?" over and over again, occasionally assuring his friends she will pick up. El decided to bride Max's hair as she had nothing much else to do. Mike just layed in the grass, looking at the clouds while Will and Lucas decided to play 'I spy with my eye'.

It was getting late and El got worried Hopper might get mad if she stays out too late, so Mike suggested to bike her. The two said their goodbyes and left. Soon after Max gave up as well, saying she's tired. Not long after even Lucas took his leave.

"Dustin, are you sure she's gonna answer?" Will asked when it was just the two.

"Yeah, of course, why wouldn't she?" Dustin says, trying to talk to Suzie again.

"Maybe she doesn't have time. Don't you want to try tommorow?" Will asked, trying to hide a yawn.

"It's fine if you want to go home too. I don't mind." Dustin smiled at Will.

"Thanks. We'll try tommorow, 'key?" Will said, yawning again.

"Okay, thanks." Dustin said.

"For what?" Will asked.

"For the welcome home party and staying here. And the others too, they just left before I could thank." Dustin said.

"You're welcome. Also, welcome home." Will said, getting up.

"See you tommorow." Will smiled, going down the hill, turning every few meters to wave at Dustin, who waved back every time.

Dustin kept on trying to reach Suzie, but no answer. He was about to give up when he finally caught something, but it wasn't Suzie, in fact it didn't even sound like english. So, Dustin recorded the message, thinking it's some evil Russians.

Will reached his home, seeing all lights still on, he walked in seeing Hopper, El, Bob, Jonathan and his mom. El waved at him with a smile.

"Hi, um what's going on?" Will asked, closing the door.

"Well, Hopper thought that El could start school next semester and since you're one of the smartest in your class, I thought you could teach her until the summer break is over." Joyce said with a smile.

"Um yeah, sure. But are you sure? I mean she can't even go out yet." Will asked.

"Well, El asked me and I thought that maybe she could start going out, if you wanted her with you." Hopper explained with a smile.

"What? You kidding? Of course we would want her around." Will said with a smile.

"Okay then, next time you and your friends are going to the cinema again, stop by to get my daughter, okay?" Hopper said, Will nodded furiously.
