Ericas POV
Another week of lessons has begun and I'm in art with Leon and Wyatt, we're practising the use of water-colour today which isn't a favourite of mine.
The weeks seem to be sailing by and I find that the more time I spend in school, the more I grow to enjoy it.
Kinda.
"So halloween is coming up.." Leon starts.
"Is it?" I question, I haven't been keeping track of dates and it's really showing.
"I don't like halloween," Wyatt retaliates, focusing on his work.
"Well aren't you two just a bundle of joy! Anyways the school hosts some weird halloween night every year and I was wondering if you two are going? It's on Friday so keep your schedules clear."
"That's the first I'm hearing of this, I'll go if Rory goes," I shrug.
"At least you get a say Erica, I get dragged. Every. Damn. Year."
"Without fail!!" Leon sings in response to Wyatt.
"Right..what does this halloween night consist of exactly? I want details."
Suddenly, I hear Mr Young speak. Why is he listening in on our conversation?
Stalker much.
"They play a few horror movies, allow you all to dress up, drink a few fruit shoots and then send you children to bed, expecting everyone to not have nightmares."
"Sir, she asked for details. I don't think those are details," Leon says.
"That's what happens though isn't it? Although...I wouldn't know I'm always in bed with my wife when these events happen," he simply shrugs.
Oh. Good for you sir.
"Wrong type of details," Wyatt mutters and I choke out a laugh.
At this point, we've all given up painting which is good because mine is completely shit. I'd rather be working on that painting of Rory. It looks far better and it's not even done.
When it is complete, there is a high chance that Aurora will freak out but you'll pleased to know I have a solution to that.
The bell rings shortly afterwards, signaling for us to go to our next lesson.
Science. For fuck sake.
"What do you two have next?" I ask as we make our way out of the art department.
"History my beloved subject."
"History also," Wyatt answers, his eyes scanning the corridors for someone in particular. Yaz.
"Piss off, I have science, that's like..a million miles away from you guys," I complain.
Wyatt begins to say that I'll be fine and to stop exaggerating until he's rudely interrupted by Leon, "You have Aurora, I think you'll be more than fine," he pauses and wiggles his eyebrows, "if you get what I'm saying, wink wink."
"Shut up."
"Don't deny the chemistry Barbie! Pun intended..get it? Because you're going to science! It was funny. Laugh."
I narrow my eyes at him before turning in the opposite direction.
This is a literal marathon.
And I'm not even sponsored, come on.-
By the time I make it to the classroom Rory is already sat down making notes.
Am I late?
I check my watch. No.
What the fuck, she worries me.
I take the seat next to her and practically launch myself onto the stool. She's noticed my presence...I think.
"You're late."
"I am not. My watch says I'm right on time."
"You don't wear watches."
Shit, what watch did I check before.
"Awh you notice things about me!!" I murmur, "You love me."
She side-eyes me. Idiot.
I'm in the middle of daydreaming before I've been rudely disrupted by the teacher asking me to answer one of the questions she wrote on the board.
You're taking the piss.
The teacher..Miss..I don't know and I don't care, glares at me, "Can you answer this please Erica?"
"Honestly? Probably not."
"Erica."
"Right, sorry. Ask Aurora or something," I suggest, it's rather homophobic picking on me to answer.
"She's answered the last 10 questions."
I'm not getting out of this.
-
We've all gathered for lunch to discuss our halloween plans.
"Sure, I'll go," Rory says, she didn't even need to be persuaded.
What a gem.
"Good! Which means..matching costumes!!" Leon exclaims.
"No."
"Fuck no."
"Depends."
This is going to take a while.

Note for today:
10.09.22
School content seems reasonable right now, since I've started school again.Another short chapter to keep you going.
I'm quite excited to write the halloween chapter and I'll make it super detailed to make up for these length of chapters.
I'm also aware it's nowhere near halloween.
Do I care? No.
