Chapter Nine- Distance

Phillip stopped at Mickayla's desk and sit down. He hand her two books.
"Weh dem ya fa?"
"Aaron say fi gi yuh dem," said Phillip as Aaron walked out of the classroom.
"Thanks."
"Yea an good luck pon yuh exam."
"Thanks but a no Brianna yuh com luk fa?"
"No."
"Say hi."
"No."
"A little wave?"
"Maybe."
Mickayla shook her head.
"Why are you by yourself?"
"Brianna fin new fren."
"Really?"
"Yes as yuh can see."
Phillip looked over his shoulder and turn around with a frown.
"A wah?"
"A di wors company dat shi eva could a pick up."
"Wah wrong wid Shauna?"
"She a crawsis."
"A yuh ex girlfren?"
"No but har bwoy fren a say suh."
"Crawsis how tho?"
"Nah gi di man space."
"Dat no justify she been a crawsis."
"Wen Brianna tun one yuh we si."
"Weh yuh wan from Brianna?"
"Anything shi gi mi."
Phillip and Mickayla talk until break time was up. When Trey came at the door looking at Mickayla, Phillp got up and exit and they both walked away.

"Girl really?"
"Cah believe Phillip come in a di class an no call to mi."
"Suh Mickayla did stay?"
"Mi neva kno a suh shi stay, shi a try tek mi man."
"Girl guh warn har."
Brianna got up and went to Mickayla in rage.

"A Suh yuh did stay?"
"Weh yuh a talk bout?"
"Yuh a try tek mi man from mi."
"Me? Tek yuh man?"
"Yes."
"Cah talk to him?"
"Mi no si him from morning an a yuh him com talk to, yuh a no good fren."
"Brianna move."
"Move mi."
"Alrite."
Mickayla got up and push Brianna and she fell right out of the classroom, Shauna started laughing.
"Yuh a wicked enu gyal, luk weh yuh cauz."
She looked at Liam with disgust as she walk to her seat as if she haven't done anything.

"Mickayla mi hate yuh."
Mickayla sat back down into her seat quietly.
"Mi wan back mi tings."
"Hol out yuh hand dem mek mi vomit e back up."
Brianna kissed her teeth and walk pass her.

Aaron was in class completing a class work when a classmate pass him a note. He open it and it said,
Phillip say check yuh phone.
He took out his phone right away. This is what the text said, Mickayla and Brianna did a fight, mi hear say shi push Brianna out a di classroom.
Aaron started laughing.

"Aaron keep it down," said Mr Smith- English Literature teacher.
"Sorry sir."

"Weh Brianna deh?"
"Up deh."
"How dis happen?"
"Probably Shauna cause mi si har a talk to Brianna wen mi guh gi Mickayla di book dem."
"Lunch time we talk."

As soon as the teacher exit the class, Brianna walked pass and give Mickayla a hard slap in her back. Mickayla started wheezing uncontrollably. Brianna just laughed and exit the class with Shauna not looking back at the disaster that she had caused. Her classmates ran up to her to assist her.

"Girl yuh a savage."
"Yes."
They high five in joy and excitement. As they walked pass everyone on the first form block looked at them in shock and surprise.

Walking off the block, they bumped into Raheem.
"Baby."
"Oh hey Shauna."
"Meet ma friend Brianna."
Raheem did not turn around and acknowledge Brianna's presence at all.
"A Phillip girlfren."
Raheem turn around.
"Hey I'm Raheem."
Shauna watched in total jealousy.
"Raheem, I'm Brianna."
Shauna interrupted them.
"Weh yuh wan fi lunch?"
"Soda an a box food."
"Ok."
They both walked away.

"Him give yuh money?"
"No mi buy him lunch everyday."
Brianna did not ask any more questions but just walk beside her silently.

Phillip and Aaron was headed to the cafeteria when they were stopped by Trey.
"Yow a fi yuh catty dat?"
"Who?"
"Di girl yuh guh to break time."
"No Aaron."
"Dwag yuh win."
"Wid?"
"Yuh catch a gem."
"Tanks."
"Yuh safe man mi nah guh afta har," lied Trey.
Phillip and Aaron looked at each other in shock and disbelief.
"Mi si Shauna wid one girl mi would a tes har out."
"Shauna fin fren?"
"Yes."
Just then Shauna and Brianna walked towards them.
"Yow wen since Brianna and Shauna tun fren?"
"Dat mi wan kno to."
"Phillip a fi yuh own dat?"
"Yea."
"Yuh kno yuh caa wife har up tho cause once she start fren Shauna shi spoil."
Brianna and Shauna stopped at Aaron and Phillip and Trey immediately walked away.

"Hey baby, hey Aaron."
"Hey Phillip, hey Aaron."
"Brianna wen Mickayla deh?"
"Up a class."
"Oh."
Phillip and Aaron looked at both girls and walk away witjout adding another word.

"Dat Brianna gone to?"
"Breda e luk suh enu."
"Talk to har."
"Talk to Brianna? Shi and Shauna a fren now, mi stop so future wid har."
"Den lef har or tell har."
Phillip laughed.
"Den di girl dem say mi a playa."
"Cauz yuh more popula dan mi."
"I see."
"Wah bout Kayla tho?"
"Wha bout har?"
"Yuh si a future wid har?"
"Yea."
"Mi did a talk to har break time shi seem cool an humble, shi a di total opposite from Brianna."
"Dat mi fin out breda."
"Mek mi tell yuh, if yuh drop catch, nuff man ago catch har including mi self."
Aaron laughed but got serious when he realize that Phillip wasn't playing.

Meanwhile Mickayla was having a hard time in the classroom because of Brianna. Classmates were trying to defend her but she stopped them.
"Some gyal aguh dead fi hungry today."
Nathaniel- one of the most wanted guys in the classroom went and sit beside Mickayla.
"Nathaniel get up from side a di girl."
"Let har alone especially you Brianna, wen yuh no kno nobody mi kno a shi yuh see."
"Cho dat a ole days."
"Neva figot who did deh deh fi yuh in a di first place."
She kissed her teeth very loudly.
"Mickayla yuh good?"
"Yea mi alrite."
"Wah really a gwan between yuh an Brianna?"
"No kno to be honest."
"Yuh no hungry?"
"No mi alrite."
Nathaniel got up from beside her and went back to his crew.
