emilia was woken up by a tap on her shoulder, "em wake up, the planes landing." she grunted in return, but eventually sat up straight. right as she did the plane violently hit the ground causing her to fall back in the same position. "what the fuck." she unpleasantly groaned. once she was finally sitting up she reached for her bag and pulled it to her lap, checking everything was zipped up.
she and her father waited eagerly for space to get up into the aisle, though it took much more time than expected. eventually, they both reached the aisle and made it out of the jam-packed plane. emilia straight away could already feel the humidity change.
they both made their way to baggage claim, to collect a couple of suitcases full of their necessities, all of their other stuff would arrive later this week so they had to at least bring some stuff themselves, undoubtedly they didn't want to wear the same clothes for days on end.
ultimately when they got out of the crowded airport, they sat near a pickup point hoping for a taxi to arrive. emilia reached for into her back pocket and came in contact with her phone, she clasped it while bringing it in front of her. she swiped up and turned off aeroplane mode, instantly her phone screen filled up with notifications, all from mikey.
