[UNEDITED BC YOLO]
Chapter 37 - Love & Other Weird Words
"YOU GUYS DITCHED ME!" Calum yelled when Luke and I exited the café to join Louis, Michael, Liam and Harry outside. Liam had just joined them about five minutes ago.
Luke pulled out a chair for me. I automatically blushed as I took a seat. He smiled at Calum and sat on the chair beside me. "Sorry, Cal. I just needed some quality time with Rose." Under the table, Luke reached over and held my hand.
Louis smirked at my pink face. I glared at him for a moment, before averting my attention to Michael, who was grinning.
"Hey, Rosie! How've you been?" He asked.
I shrugged. "Pretty okay. Missed you guys, though." I pouted.
Calum seated himself beside Liam. He seems over the fact that we ditched him now. "How's Maggie?" He asked, curiously.
I smirked. He definitely has a thing for her. "She's good. I haven't seen her in awhile because she's been studying really hard lately," I told him. "Have you called her?"
Calum lowered his eyes to the table, his cheeks red. "No . . ." He trailed off.
I sighed and pulled my phone out of my pocket. I unlocked it and leaned over, placing it in front of him. "Call her." I stated and crossed my arms over my chest as I leaned back against the chair.
Calum bit his lip nervously. "Are you sure I should?"
Luke rolled his eyes. "Call her, mate." He encouraged.
Cal nodded a few times, breathed in and out, then picked up the phone and fiddled with it a little before finally pressing the phone against his ear.
We waited. Calum's calm face contorted to one of panic. "Oh my god, I shouldn't be doing thi- Hi, Maggie! It's, uh, Calum." He was blushing, aw.
I glanced at Luke. He was looking back at me, smirking. "Five bucks he won't ask her The Question."
"You're on, Hemmings." I narrowed my eyes. Oh, Calum, please be confident enough to do this . . .
"Um, I'm good, thanks. How are you, Mags?" Calum's a little more relaxed now. A smile played on his lips as he spoke to her. "That's nice. Listen, Maggie . . ."
Both Luke and I clutched the edge of our seats as we strained to hear what he would say.
Ask her out. Ask her out. Ask her out. Ask her-
"Would you like to hang out sometime after I get back from the tour?" He bit his lip again.
"YES!" I screamed, fist pumping the air.
"SSHHH!" Calum and Louis hissed.
I grinned at Luke, who sunk back in his chair, his arms crossed. "Five dollars please." I singsonged.
Luke pouted, but he reached into his pocket and pulled out a five dollar bill. "No fair. You knew he was gonna ask her out."
"Ah, ah. I didn't know. I had a feeling." I smirked and snatched the paper from his fingertips.
Luke sighed. Michael stood up from his chair and practically flopped on the table as he leaned over to ruffle Luke's hair. Luke pouted again, his once-perfect quiff now covering his eyes.
"Thanks a lot, Mikey." Luke whined and attempted to fix his ruined hair.
I smiled. Aw, they're adorable.
"You're welcome, Lukey." Michael smirked and fell back on his chair.
"Okay. Okay, see you . . . Whenever I see you," Calum laughed nervously. "See you soon, Maggie." He ended the call and grinned widely.
