Chapter 40 - Luke The Kidnapper

"How was the pizza?" I grinned expectantly at Luke.

He stared at me skeptically. "Good . . . ?" Luke responded unsurely.

"Good," I repeated slowly. "Just good?"

He shrugged. "I don't know. It tasted like pizza. What do you want me to say?" Luke lowered his head to the pavement, his eyes darting to me a few times as a small smile lit up his face.

"I have this strange urge to slap your right now," I said bluntly.

Luke pouted (he pouts a lot). "Aw, come on. What did I do?" He asked cutely.

I sighed dramatically. "Only Michael could understand the potential of Manhattan pizza."

Luke furrowed his brows. "But I understand it, too!" He protested.

I averted my eyes from a couple walking a dog and back to him. "Do you? Do you really?"

He scratched the back of his neck sheepishly. "Okay, I admit, I don't get why you're so damn obsessed with Manhattan pizza. I mean, Italian pizza is the shit,"

I narrowed my eyes at him. "I love Italy for inventing pizza and all, but oh, you did not go there."

Luke smirked back at me. "Oh, I went there."

"How dare you-" Suddenly, my phone buzzed and I cut myself off. I didn't want to check my phone, but then Luke frowned and gestured for me to so. I exhaled and pulled my phone out of my pocket.

Jacket: i am heading home don't freak out.

Jacket: home. haha. sounds like we live together. I meant the hotel.

Alythium: a bitch called me fat, and I said: I would love to insult you, but I'm afraid I won't do as well as nature did

At the last one I, admittedly, snickered.

Me: omg really

Alythium: ayee. I sent this nine hours ago biatch :(

Me: omg i'm sorry. i swear i wasn't notified :(

Alythium: it's cool :)

Me: wait what time is it in Sydney?

Alythium: seven a.m whaddup

Me: are you at school? :)

Alythium: are you my mom? :)

Me: I'm just curious bc I've heard that you're on some sorta dance committee and that you're supposed to come to school earlier?

Alythium: well, i don't feel like coming and I'm not at school :)

Me: are you skipping :)

Alythium: maybe :))

Luke peered at my phone screen, grinning when he saw the contact name. "Say 'hi' for me." He chirped.

Me: Luke says hi

Me: I forgot to tell u that I bumped into Luke and Cal today :)))
