Chapter 21

kirishima's pov
( two weeks later)
EI YOU NEED TO HURRY UP dad yelled up at me.
I KNOW IM COMING I CANT FIND MY CROCS, i called backed.
THEIR DOWN HERE BY YOUR BAG papa called up.
i ran down the stairs feeling so full of energy and excitement even though it was 4am. i pulled my shoes onto my feet and i grabbed my bag and we left the house and we got in the car and we headed to the hospital.
we got there and i was bouncing on my feet waiting for them to get out of the car and we headed inside and we took an elevator to the 5th floor and we got checked in and we sat in the waiting room for what felt like forever and the longer i waited the more anxious and nervous i got for this.
finally my name was called so i got up and i walked over to the nurse and she took me back to a room and she had me take my shirt off so she could mark them spots.
there was a knock on the door and i heard a mans voice announce it was the surgeon and my doctor so the nurse let them in.
the doctor came over and looked at the marks the nurse made and told her to move them a little bit so she took a cleaning wipe and wiped my chest and she remarked it. go ahead and take a look and see if you like the placement and then we will give you a gown to change into while we get the IV solutions set up, the nurse said with a smile.
i nodded and i got off the exam table and i went over to the mirror and i looked at the marks and i got a singe of dysphoria from looking in the mirror but i pushed it back and i nodded. it looks great lets get this started, i said as i was given a gown and everyone stepped out so i could change, i quickly got changed and i sat back on the bed and soon the nurse came in with a wheel chair and parked it in the corner of the room, im going to get the iv started them im going to take you to your actual room where your recovery team will meet you and go over everything you will need to know for after then it will be time to go to the OR for the procedure and your dads will meet us there as well. she said.
i nodded as she sat her caddy on the side table and she pulled out the iv needle and she i closed my eyes and i took a deep breath as i felt it being pushed in all right let me just get the bag hooked up to the port then ill take you down to your new room. she said.
she hung a bag from a tall pole and twisted something into the port of the iv.
okay all done right now this is just to make sure you stay hydrated we will administer the anesthesia later when its closer to the procedure time, she said as she held the pole and i moved ti the wheel chair and she handed me the pole. this is going to role beside us just keep a hold of it, she said.
i grabbed it and she pushed me to a new room and i saw my dads already waiting for me and a few other people i didnt know, i moved to the bed and i taled to everyone and about an hour later it was time for me to go under anesthesia.
the anesthesoligist came in and instructed me on what to do and she placed a mask over my face and i closed my eyes and i just breathed in all the gases that were in there and i fell asleep.
i woke up with a killer headache and i reached up to rub my head but i felt incredibly restricted.
hey no lifting your arms you'll hurt yourself what do you need? i heard my dads voice ask.
i turned my head and i saw him sitting next to me he stood up and he came over to me.
my head hurts really bad, i said realizing my voice was really dry.
okay ill call  hizashi to bring you some ice he will be back soon he went to get me coffee, he said, but how are you feeling? he asked
besides my head i feeling fucking fantastic, i said still feeling high from the drugs they gave me.
are um kat and um izu going to come i know izu was really worried about me when we talked last night? i asked.
yeah school is getting out in about 2 hours and then bakugous mom is going to drive them up here to see you, he said.
wait really the school day is almost over already i was asleep for that long? i asked.
yeah we were getting kind of worried, he said as the door opened softly.
hey ei its so good to see you awake how are you feeling? papa asked as he sat on the side of my bed gently, i have a migrain and im a little sluggish  but i feel amazing now, i groaned out.
um can you help me so i can sit up im really thursty? dad grabbed the remote and he pushed the button and the bed started to move and soon i was in a seated positon and dad grabbed a cup and held the straw for me and i started chugging the water i was so thursty. i drank about half the water and i leaned my head back on the pillow behind me. hey so i have to head out to meet a case worker soon but ill come by tomorrow to see you papa said.
wait my caseworker im already adopted? i asked.
no not yours the little girl from the rescue mission you and sho went on with midoriya and everyone else shes being places with us, papa said
ohhh thats interesting i cant wait to meet her since you know i havent meet her yet, i said.
well we will see you tomorrow when you come home papa said as he ruffled my hair a gently just call me if you need anything okay kiddo?
yeah papa thanks i will, he left and dad pulled the blankets up over me.
try to take a nap and they should be here to see you when you wake up, he said.
i nodded as i leaned my head to the side and i tried to fall back asleep but it was nothing but restless i layed there for what felt like forever till i realized i wasnt gonna fall asleep i reached down and i grabbed my from and i checked the time and i realized it was only an hour.
hey you didnt sleep did you? dad asked. no i couldnt get comfortable it was nothing but restless i said.
thats okay here i brought your laptop so you can watch netflix? he asked as he pulled it out of my bag and he sat it on my lap i carefully reached over and i logged in and  i opened netflix and i picked a show and dad placed my shark behind my head so i could be more comfortable, we sat there together for about an hour just watching netflix till there was a soft knock on the door and it opened and i saw my boyfriends walking in and i saw izu was holding something but i couldnt see it, they both came over and kat closed my lap top and moved it and he leaned over and he kissed me hey ei how you feeling baby? he asked, i gave him a smile as dad got up and left and izu came over to my other side and he kissed me sweetly.
i feel amazing i know its going to be a hard recovery with you guys and my dads helping me with everything, but i feel amazing now i feel like a weight has been lifted off my chest, i said as i laughed softly, ow cant laugh i said as i winced a bit and put my hand to my chest.
are you okay babe? izu asked with a concerned look on his face.
im fine zu im okay, i said well we got this for you we thought you might need a new friend while your here? he said as he turned the item in his hands around and i saw it was a teddy bear but it was dressed as a shark it was adorable. i love it izu thanks kats, i said as i smiled.
kat leaned over and he kissed my head. do you think it would be okay if one of us layed with you or would it hurt you? izu asked.
um probably have to wait a couple weeks before we can cuddle but even then i still have to be careful i would say probably only touching my waist and hips for a while its gonna take me close to 3 or 4 months to be fully healed i said.
thats okay we will comfort you any way we can till your healed and neither of us minds helping you around school we are more than happy and willing to do what you need to be comfortable, kat said as he carefully sat next to me and he kissed my head.
now i know you havent eaten anything since like 3am are you hungry i can go get you some food our call the nurse to bring you some? kats asked.
um no not right now my stomach is a little upset from the anesthesia if she comes in ill ask for some juice or something first and if that helps ill get food later, i said.
thats okay ei just as long as you eat something by the end of the night just so you can have something in your system, izu said sweetly.

there was a soft knock on the door and i saw it crack open and i saw it was my doctor, my nurse, and my dad.
i need to check your vitals and the doctor wanted to talk to you and your dad. the nurse said as she came over and started checking my vitals.
okay so we know about your eating problems so we wanted to discuss some options with you to make sure your fed enough while your here.
we do have meal replacement shakes, we have fresh fruit that we can put together for you cause we know you can only eat certain fruit at the moment and since we have an ed ward here our kitchen is always open so if you ever get hungry you can just call down and they can bring you a snack or meal, the doctor said as he handed me a sheet of paper. um thanks but i think right now all i want is some juice or something my stomach is a little upset, i said.
thats okay we will bring you some juice and a snack for later your friends can stay till 8 till visiting hours are over then we have to get your bed situated, the nurse said.
hey doc i know he said only juice but i do want him to either have a full meal or a meal replacement shake he needs to have something with protein, dad said.
i understand ill talk to the staff  in the kitchen and give them this infomation and ill bring back a juice and a snack for him, she said and both her and the doctor walked out.
about an hour later she came back in and she had a small tray and she pulled the bed table over my lap and she gave me a smile and walked out.
kat lifted the lid off the tray and i saw sliced apples, a cup of peanut butter, a small bowl of pineapple, some grapes some crackers, and a vanilla protein shake and a 2 bottles of apple juice.
hey at least you have 2 sources of protein i want you to either finish your shake or all of the peanut butter, dad said.
i nodded still feeling queasy.
i guess he could see it written on my face, its okay ei you have till the end of the night to eat. i can understand that being here and new people coming and going and the stress you were feeling earlier is making it hard so i dont excpect you to finish it all but i want you to snack on it till you go to bed. dad said.
i nodded and i opened the first bottle of juice and i sipped it.
it took me about 30 minutes  to finish the first bottle and my stomach was starting to feel more balanced so i started to snack on the crackers and peanut butter seeing my dad and both my boyfriends smile slightly
