Chapter 7: Where is he?

Third Person Pov 

With Shinobu 

I should probably go check on Tomioka-san. He should be awake right now. 

Shinobu got the key to basement, then unlocked the outer door. Now it's just the door to Giyuu's room she has to unlock. 

I should probably knock first. Or something. 

"Tomioka-san?" Shinobu said as she knocked. 

No answer. 

"Tomioka-san?? Are you there?" Shinobu asked again while knocking. 

She kept calling out to Giyuu, but there was always no answer. 

"I'm going in!" Shinobu said as she unlocked the door. 

Giyuu wasn't there. 

What?! He's gone?! But how?! 

How'd he get out? There's no sign of anything broken. The room looks good as new. I need to tell everyone about this. 

She got out of the basement, then called her Kasugai crow to send a message to all of the pillars and meet up at Shinobu's mansion. 

The Pillars got the message

They hurried to the Butterfly Mansion as fast as they can 

They arrived 

"What?! Giyuu is gone??" Obanai said in disbelief. 

"Yes! He's gone! I don't know how he disappeared, but he just vanished! It's not like he escaped or anything, he just vanished into thin air!" Shinobu said. 

"That shithead. How'd he do it?" Sanemi asked angrily. 

"Should we tell master about this?" Mitsuri asked.

"Yes, we should, it's a good idea" Tengen said. 

Everyone nodded in agreement. 

"I was informed that Giyuu had escaped." Kagaya said. 

"Yes master, we are very sorry." Shinobu said, head bowed in shame. 

"It would be nice if you guys can find them, but I am not rushing you." Kagaya said. 

"You all are dismissed now", Kagaya said, smiling as usual. 

The Hashira all leave

"So ummm, where do we start looking for him?" Mitsuri asked nervously. 

"I don't know, but let's check his estate first." Obanai said. 

"Good idea!" Kyojuro sad loudly. 

They all made their way to Giyuu's estate, and they knocked. And of course no answer. So they decided to go in. 

"Dang.. This place is not as flamboyant as I thought" Tengen said in disappointment. 

"Has anyone been in here?-" Mitsuri asked. 

Everyone shook their head no. 

"Wow I wonder why" Shinobu said. 

"I guess that bastard just likes time to himself and not talk to us because he thinks he is better than all of us". Sanemi said. 

"I'm sure he doesn't say he's different because of that reason." Gyomei said. 

"We should probably search now" Obanai said. 

Everyone agreed. 

With Shinobu

Jeez, this place is so empty. And no one is here either. Tomioka-san just lives alone. Must be sad. 

Shinobu then went into his room. 

I'm guessing this is his room, Shinobu thought, seeing a futon.

What's that over there? 

Shinobu walked over to where Giyuu kept Sabito's mask, Giyuu's mask, and a small picture of him and his sister. 

Wow, this must be Giyuu when he was younger. 

His eyes were so bright. Full of hope. They weren't as dull as it is now. 

I wonder what took it away. 

Who's this beside him? 

Shinobu didn't know who it was. But she was pretty sure Giyuu had a sister. 

This must be Giyuu's sister. She's pretty.

Shinobu couldn't find Giyuu, or anything that was useful enough to tell them where he might have went. 

The others couldn't find anything useful either. 

"Nothing useful here." Sanemi said. 

"I guess we might as well leave" Kyojuro said. 

They all left his estate, still clueless where Giyuu might have went. 

After they left his estate, they all went to do whatever they liked. 

Until.. 

"Caw Caw! Caw Caw!" 

It was Shinobu's Kasugai crow. 

"Shinobu Kocho! Go to Lake Azumi! People have reported missing in that area! Caw Caw! 

Oh, I have a mission. 

By the time she got in the area, it was already night time. 

She reached Lake Azumi, and that's when she was confused. 

There was a demon eating someone, and it looked like... Giyuu? 

Is that Tomioka-san?! 

"Tomioka-san?!" Shinobu said. 

The demon turned around at the sound of its name, and Shinobu just stood there in disbelief.
