Chapter 18

"Its been three weeks doctor" Dean told the doctor standing infront of him "Cant you see if she's gunna be okay?" There was pain in his voice.

"Im sorry, but while she's in her current state. There is nothing we can do" The doctor checked Paige's stats, "She seems to be making a speedy recovery, she will be off life support in a day or two"

Dean stumbled back to his seat next to her bed and held her hand, he lent down and kissed her hand lightly. "Paige" He began "It's me. Dean. I dont know if you can hear me but I just want you to know that were here for you" He stopped, tears in his eyes "I'm here for you. I need you"

Paige's P.O.V

Its wierd, Paige saw her body lay down on the bed, connected to all these wires and life support. She saw Dean crying and she couldn't reach out to him, she needed to tell him that she was okay - in a way.

She had investigated the hospital three times already and there was nothing that needed her attention. She just wanted her body to hurry up and heal.

"Ahh, Paige" Came a voice from behind her. Paige swiveled round and came face to face with Death. "Nice to meet you" He extended his bony hand and Paige stared at it. He laughed "I can't kill you, your technically dead"

Paige shook his hand "I need to get back to my body"

Death smiled "Let's take a walk" He walked out of her room and after glancing at Dean Paige followed, she followed him into a ward where a woman was stood. Paige recognised her at once "Reaper?" She asked

"Good" Death said "She was here for you"

"But" Paige wished that there was going to be a but

"But" He repeated "You hold greater purpose in the living world than the dead. So I hold the power in bringing you back"

Paige smiled "Thank you"

"It will hurt. I will bring you back but I can't heal your injuries"

"It doesn't matter. As long as I can see the Winchesters"

Sam had returned with food for him and Dean, they both ate and drank while the nurse checked Paige's stats. Dean looked up when the nurse said a small "oh"

"What?" Sam and Dean asked in unison

"Her stats are normal" The nurse said, clearly shocked "Im calling the doctor, the equipment must be faulty" She ran out and Sam stood up.

"Dean" He began, his eyes flashed full of pain "You didn't did you?"

"Do what?" Dean replied, then realisation dawned on him "No. I've been right here. I haven't left her side Sam"

"He's right you know" Came a whisper from the hospital bed, with her eyes still closed Paige smiled "I feel like I've been hit with a truck"

Dean collapsed on his seat in shock. "What"

"I'll tell you when I get my strength back" Paige whispered "Right now all that needs to be said is I've got friends in high places" She coughed "Hi Cas"

Dean and Sam looked around to see Castiel stood in the doorway, he looked at Paige in the same shock that Sam and Dean had plastered on their faces. "I dont understand" He finally said

"That makes three of us" Sam grimaced "Did you make a deal?" Sam asked Paige

"No" She replied "I had nothing to trade, I was dead Sam"

The doctor ran in accompanied with two nurses. He walked over to the monitors and turned to the nurse. "Who's tampered with these?"

"No one, I've been here the whole time" Dean told the doctor

"She's in a coma Mr. Winchester. She doesn't have normal stats"

"She" Paige said opening her glowing blue eyes "Has a name"

"This is a medical miracle" The doctor laughed "How are you feeling?"

"Like I've been ran over by a truck" Paige replied

"Well thats only to be expected. We can give medication for the pain. Nurse" He walked over to the door and turned around "I must inform the hospital consultant"

The nurse walked over "How bad is the pain?" She held a large needle

"Fine. I don't need anything. I just need to talk to these three please"

The nurse placed a small device in Paige's hand "Press the red button if you need anything or are in pain. A team will come running in" And she walked out

"Im guessing you want to hear the full story"

The boys walked closer.
