After conversating with his father about his betrothal to princess Myrcella the young Alester simply agreed to the match before leaving the room to find the true mastermind behind this arrangement his grandmother Olenna the infamous Queen of thorns. As he walked down the large stone hall to the gardens, he saw her sitting at a table as the view from the location would be breathtaking to anyone you hadn't seen it as much as a Tyrell. Alester kissed her on the cheek before taking a seat beside her facing out over the lands he would one day rule.

She spoke first.

Olenna: "You knew from the moment you sat down with him."

Alester: "Indeed, I believe I inherited your cunningness."

Olenna: "You and your sister are easily the only ones who can state such a thing."

Alester: "King Baelor the blessed I must then be."

Olenna: "Truly you are. Now let's speak of your future wife shall we."

Alester with no such Surprise that she already knew he agreed to the match spoke in a clear voice.

Alester: "I believe she will make a fine lady of Highgarden. She has the right demeanor for it, and it will create strong ties to lord Tywin. Say what you want about the man, but he knows how to lead and rule."

She then gives her grandson a knowing look.

Olenna: "Don't think I don't know you care for the young Lady. She may be a little younger than you, but she is old enough to marry and have children."

Letting out a pause she then continued.

Olenna: "What we have to focus most on is the girl's mother as she fancies herself smart the poor dull woman."

He nods in agreement knowing Cersei. She was always kind to him but there were always wheels moving in her head quite like his just with more sadistic thoughts.

Alester: "I'm sure I can outmaneuver the Queen if it comes to it but she's so focused with the future king that it shouldn't be much of a problem."

Olenna: "I know you'll be ok. It's your father that I'm more worried about. Once we're in that god forsaken city, they call the capital."

Alester felt a ting of bitterness for his grandmother when she spoke ill of his father. Though Mace was a little out there as one would say he was family and Alester believed you should always love your family and house till they give you a reason not to. The lord of Highgarden was always caring and loving of his children making his oldest son glad he was born a Tyrell and not a Lannister.

Brushing off her previous comment he then continued the topic of kings landing.

Alester: "We're leaving for kings landing?"

Olenna: "No doubt Robert will throw a tourney to celebrate Lord Starks new position. Well set out tomorrow so be prepared."

He then rose to his feet.

Alester: "Well then I'll be off to rest for the journey."

She gave him a slight nod which he then returned as he spun to walk out of the garden, he took a right down the corridor making way to his room. He was then stopped by someone calling out his name and as he turned, he saw his little brother jogging toward him.

Loras: "And do tell what was it that grandmother wanted?"

Alester always loved his brother's curiosity.

Alester: "We'll be leaving for the tournament held in the new hands name and no I don't know if Renly will be attending."

The last part sounded a little bitter coming out and the older Tyrell immediately regretted it after seeing the disappointment on his brother's face. He of course knew of the relationship between the king's younger brother and his own and he had no problem with there love he just never wanted the truth to get out and his brother be degraded with disgust.

The older Tyrell put his hand on his brother's shoulder and looked into his eyes.

Alester: "I'm sorry, you know I'm probably wrong I'm sure he'll be in attendance. Now go get some sleep I don't want you falling asleep in your saddle tomorrow."

As Loras walked away Alester finally made it inside his room taking a seat on the side of his bed he finally let out a loud sigh before falling back and looking at the ceiling thinking about the princess and their past interactions at the many banquets between their families and other lords. They had very similar personalities and always sought each other's company out when they were near. He could never deny her beauty, but he truly never thought a marriage would happen between them in their futures. To tell the truth a part of him is more than happy at the idea of marrying her but the main question floating around in his head was what she thought of the match.

He was sure to find out at the tournament.
