Chapter 8

October 1984

I started my way onwards to school, for christmas last year my parents got me a car. So I no longer rely on Jonathan anymore. I pulled into the carpark and parked my car. As I walked towards the school, a car went right in front of me and parked and revved. This new guy came out of the car

"Jerk,"I mutter.

"Sorry there sweetheart, didn't mean to almost hit you there"The guy winks, I roll my eyes and continue walking, as I was walking through I was handed a flyer for a halloween party, I was walking with Nancy and Jonathan. We stopped at mine and Nancy's locker when Steve came by and pick up Nancy making her squeal

"Oh my god!take those stupid things off"Nancy says

"Hey Stevie boy, playing one of the 3 blind mice today are we"I say sarcastically.

"Hahaha very funny,"He says and puts them on me, I walk into my locker purposely

"Hah it works"I say throwing them at back at him, I walk after Jonathan to our first class

I seem to be staying with the Byers a lot lately, my moms been having heaps of business meetings and dad has been working late hours at the station. I sat in Will's room with him, with my walkman on, thinking about things. I've still been having nightmares and flashbacks from that night in the upside down. I feel a tap on my shoulder,I take off my headphones

"Hey, we're gonna watch a movie, wanna come?"Jonathan says, I shake my head

"Hey couz, what's wrong?"Jonathan asks

"Just thinking, i'm fine though thanks Jazzy"I say, thinking back to the nickname I gave to him as a kid.

I lay down in my bed when Will come in and lays in his bed

"Are you tired of me yet?"He asks

"Of course not Will. I love you so much, I'll do my best to be there for you, I promise"I tell him. He smiles at me and rolls over to head to sleep. I do the same, not to sleep. I've not been sleeping properly still since the Demogorgon stuff.

The next morning I woke up ready to go to school, Will was getting ready into his halloween costume to go to school in. We got pictures of Will in costume, he looked adorable.

"Bye Will have a good day"I tell him as Jonathon took him to school and started to get ready

"Also Joyce I'm heading to a halloween party tonight, is that alright?"I ask her

"Of course darling, don't do anything to irresponsible, okay. Don't drink too much"Joyce replies

"Alright see you later Joyce"I tell as I head to my car.

After school I was right behind the new jerk in school Billy. When he sped up towards the boys on their bikes, I panic then get angry without even thinking. I tilt my head to the side and the car swerved to the side making sure he didn't hit the boys, I felt blood come out my nose and quickly wiped it.

That evening Steve and Nancy pick me up from Joyce's house

"Oh look you've taken one of the 3 blind mice to the next level Harrington, looks like your going to a funeral what died your personality"I say sarcasm

"Wow you just keep coming out with those"Steve says. I smile sweetly at him as we pull up to the house.

"I see you went with Madonna mixed with Cobra Kai there Dani"Nancy says

"Yep, I went to go see that a while ago, William Zabka is hot as"I say. Nancy laughs

"I'll rent it for our next movie night"I tell her
